Confessing the Truth

Adjo awoke before the sun came up the next morning. He looked around, waiting for Femi to come. He couldn't bear it anymore. He was going to tell her. Even if, she didn't love him anymore. He waited for what felt like hours, then he heard it. He heard her footsteps walking towards his room. For the past few hours he had decided what to say. He couldn't bear it, he then looked but she didn't come. He waited and waited. Then looked again, but she wasn't there. Then he heard the footsteps again. It wasn't hers this time. It was someone else's. It seemed to be a males footsteps. He then heard some muffled whispering. "...yes, I have the gold do you have the ... oh, so I give you one job and you ... okay, I understand but I need it by ... " Adjo was curious but he didn't get up. He didn't know what was happening. He then heard the males footsteps leave and he heard Femi's coming closer. Then he saw her. He saw Femi in the door frame. She was looking at something but what was it. He looked in the direction she was and didn't see anything. Then she approached him. She kissed him on the cheek and went back to working. He then awoke and that gave Femi a fright. He said good morning to her and she asked if she had woken him up. He said no he had been awake for a couple hours already. She was shocked and she looked quite worried. He then told her he wanted to talk to her and indicated for her to sit on his bed. He then said to her "Femi, I couldn't bear to do this, it happened in like a second. I didn't want it to happen but. I kissed another girl." He closed his eyes, waiting for her slap him or something but, nothing happened. Then he waited and she started kissing him. He then asked her "What was that for?" She told him that she didn't mind that he kissed another girl, she was just glad he told her. Adjo was relieved that that had gone so well. Then, she continued to work and Adjo asked her if she could teach him how to clean. She agreed and showed him how to dust. Adjo had had a very interesting morning. He though was quite relieved at the situation but would never tell Tiaa about Femi and that was fine.
