Gon:

“Milly is everything alright?” I ask cautiously.

“Of course, we are all good here.” She replies though I am not convinced. And I can hear in her mind that she is worried and confused. She gives me a look that says to let it go so I decide that it isn’t worth pressing here and now where everyone else can hear.

We are ushered on board where Gotoh gives us some brief flight instructions: Remain seated, Keep on safety belts, and don’t use phones or other electronic devices… the basics. So we all take our seats and strap in. The jets seating is laid out similar to a limo, they line both walls and have no armrests. I sit down right next to Milly who keeps whispering to Alluka as she rubs her feet. I cant tell what they are saying and she is shutting me out of our mind link, so for my own safety I leave her alone.

I can’t believe it! We are really on our way to Meteor City and after all this time I am going to see my best friend again. I begin to tremble with excitement and my stomach is turning in circles. I look around at the group of people that is here with me; all of the friends I have made since I left home two year ago to take the hunter exam. So many people I have met since then and yet, of all of them there I only one person I would give anything to be with right now. As selfish as it sounds, I would give up all of these people if it meant I could spend an hour with him. And not to mention my mother, my Aunt Mito, if I find that they messed with a single hair on her head, there will be heck to pay!

I want things to go back to the way they used to be. I want Aunt Mito back on Whale Island running the shop, cooking me breakfast in the morning, and complaining about anything and everything. I want to see Killua gag at the sight of a fish, I want him to tease me, poke my face, and hit me on the back of the head when I say or do something stupid. My only fear for this mission isn’t that we won’t find them; it’s what state they might be in when we do find them.

I can sense that Milly is equally scared though I don’t know if it is for the same reasons as me. I grasp her trembling hand, when she looks up at me I give her a reassuring smile. “We are going to get them, we are so close.” I whisper to her.

“I know, and that’s why I am so scared. When we are so close yet so many things could go horribly wrong.” She replies.

“I know what you mean. This is a huge risk, not just for us but for everyone involved.” I look around again at all the ones who are with us risking their lives for Killua’s sake. Shouldn’t that speaks leaps and bounds about the value his life has?!

Everyone here is prepared to do whatever it takes to save him, not only from the Troupe, but from the Hell he resides in. Looking at all of their faces I see a range of emotion: Determination, Nervousness, Empathy, Serenity, Indifference, Concentration, Canary and Amane look sort of emotionless, and some many others. The only emotion I don’t see is regret. None of these people regret their decision to help, they truly care about Killua.

I suddenly remember there is a face missing, “Wait a minute! We forgot about Hanzo!” I cry randomly. Pokkle face drops and we all look around frantically trying to figure out what to do.

“I can’t believe we forgot about him!” Pokkle exclaims. Then he pulls out his phone and begins scrolling through his contacts. “I will have to call him right now.”

“Wait wont that mess with the Jets instruments?” Leorio asks in concern.

“If Mistress Millua uses her ‘Open Vault’ ability to keep all circuit and electrical pathways properly aligned then it won’t be a problem.” Amane states.

“I want to make this abundantly clear to everyone, MY NAME IS MILLY NOT MILLUA!” Milly say definitively.

“I understand that you prefer that name but I will call you Millua whether you like it or not because that is your legal name.” Amane replies robotically as usual.
