Chapter - 11

Sooooo... i have been seriously slacking in my updates, srry Minna! I was gone all weekend and then our internet router broke, so finally things are smoothing out and i can get back to routine =) Hope everyone enjoys!

Milly:

When we arrive at the center of the city, the square is bustling like a normal town. There are people all over the place doing normal things like buy and selling or just sitting and watching the birds. The only thing that keeps fresh in my mind where we are is the heavy stench of death that hangs in the air.

Everyone in this place has that odor on them; blood, decay, dirt from a grave. If I continue dwelling on it I may find myself overwhelmed.

“Hanzo said that he would call that contact of his and meet us here. He never called to tell us otherwise so he should be here.” Pokkle states as he pulls his phone from his pocket. “I’ll text him and try to find out where he is.” A few minutes later he gets a reply. “He says they ran into some difficulties but that he will be arriving in less than a day. Continue our plan and he will assist when he gets here.”

“OK, no problem.” I say. ‘Gon, we should start looking for the sign that Hisoka left for us.” I think to him. ‘Yeah we should. Maybe it would be more effective for us to split up into groups to search.’ He suggests. ‘That’s a great idea; we could cover more ground and attract less attention. But we should probably make sure that each group has someone who has a vague idea as to what we are looking for and someone who is able to navigate.’ I reply. ‘What do you mean?’ he asks. ‘I’ll explain.’ I say.

“Alright everybody here is the thing, we are going to have to split up.” I announce, the others all look at me in confusion. “Kurapika, Gotoh, Gon, and I all know what we are looking for. You’re going to have to trust us.”

“Don’t worry, we trust you little princess.” Leorio teases.

I crack a small smile. “Here is how we will divide up: Amane, Alluka, and myself will make up one. Gon, Zushi, and Canary will make another. The third will have Gotoh, Leorio, and Kalluto. And the last group will have Kurapika, Kyra, Pokkle, and Ponzu. Is everyone ok with that?” I ask.

‘Are you sure you want to be alone with Amane and Alluka?’ Gon silently asks. ‘I’ll be fine, I can handle myself.’ I assure him. “It sounds like a plan to me.” He says out loud.

“Ok than, if we find anything we should make sure whether or not it leads anywhere before we go calling everyone back to start.” I inform them.

“What should we use as base?” Pokkle asks. “I mean, where should we meet if we find something?”

“You see that large church just around the bend? That is easy to get to and it is in a high traffic area so a large group of people meeting there wont look suspicious.” Canary points out.

“Then that’s where we will go.” I reply shortly. “Everyone understands? Than lets move out!” I command. I am probably being a little too bossy but I cant help myself, I am so high strung right now. The months upon months of anticipation are finally unfolding! No one seems to question me; they all scatter to search.

“Alrighty now… he said the first would be in the square… that would imply that it will lead us to another one… I wonder how many we will have to find before we find him…” I murmur. 

“Who and what are we searching for Millua?” Amane sneers. I didn’t realize I had said any of that out loud, and I chose to ignore her name calling.
