Chapter 24 - Promises

So heres a little story for you all, I wrote this chapter in the back of my mums car on the way to the hospital. Now you can carry that with you forever, you're welcome ;) Happy reading

I make Klaus take us to the hospital, there was no way I was delivering another baby. Hours of waiting in the hospital waiting room went by. They wouldnt let me go in with her because apparently there was complications. I paced back and forth as I could hear my mum scream out in pain. Finally she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. At first I was afraid to hold him. He was so small, fragile and human. She names him Aidan. I helped them get settled in back at their home and visited them everyday. I sat on one of her couches with Aidan in my arms, feeding him a bottle. My mum sat opposite us on the other couch just watching me as I fed him.

Kate "you're so good with him, I can never get him to drink anymore than an ounce"

"well I had some practice with Sophia"

Kate "Kiera, I want to thank you for helping me out lately. I haven't been the best mum in the pas but i'm going to make it up to you and do whats best for Aidan, I promise"

I just smiled and nodded in response, promises were never her strong point. But she was trying and I appreciated that, maybe she will change and be a better mum. I gently stroked the little brown tufts of hair on Aidans head as he fell asleep in my arms. I put him in his crib and went back to the compound where I was immediately addressed by Klaus.

Klaus "Oh good, Kiera I need a favour"

I looked at him and sighed "what now?" I was knackered after being up all night with Aidan so my mum could sleep.

Klaus "I need you to do a spell for me, one from my mothers grimoire"

"I don't even know how to use my magic properly never mind doing one of your mums spells"

Klaus "well its about time you learn"

"Why cant Genevieve do it?"

Klaus "Because I don't trust her" he said whilst handing me a very old looking book. "The spells in there page 40"

I walked away from him holding the book in my arms. I could find the daylight ring spell and make one for Jay. I ran up to my room excited and slammed the door behind me. I flipped through the pages ignoring what Klaus said until I came across the spell. First I needed a ring to turn into a daylight ring. None of mines would fit Jays big fingers but one of Klaus' might. I VS to his bedroom so he wouldn't hear me. I looked through all his stuff in front of me, looking in boxes and on shelves. I heard a cough from behind me causing me to jump. I turned around to see Klaus standing behind me with his arms crossed over his chest. Shit. I was wrong, he did hear me.

Klaus "looking for something?"

"yea...I.." crap I need to think of something to say. I couldn't tell him the truth "I need a ring to practise that spell you want me to do" that was a stupid lie but It was the best I could think of on the spot. He smirked at me before walking over to the other ride of the room opening a box and pulling out a rink with a dark blue stone on it.

Klaus "why of course" he smiled and handed it to me

I thanked him and VS back to my room. I sat on my bed and read the spell over and over again until I understood what it is I have to do. I placed the ring in the sunlight, closed my eyes and started chanting. Wind started blowing around me but I ignored and focused on the spell. The wind stopped as I sopped chanting. I looked at the ring, nothing seemed different. I wondered if the spell even worked. I couldn't wait to find out. I grabbed the ring and VS straight to Jays apartment. I didn't even bother to knock, I walked in to see Jay sitting watching football shouting at his TV. He stopped shouting as he seen me standing there with a big smile on my face.

Jay "whats got you so happy?"

"I have a surprise for you, stand up" he looked at me confused and stood up "now close your eyes" he smiled and done exactly what he was told. I took his hand and led him over to a small window at the back of his flat that didn't get changed. I slipped the ring onto his finger. It fit him perfectly. I drew back the curtain which exposed him to the sun. "you can open your eyes now" I giggled as he picked me up and embraced me in a hug before kissing me.

Jay "when did you make this?"

"about five minutes ago"

Jay "well lets go out" he said sounding excited.

Hey guys sorry its short and sorry for any mistakes it is unedited. Its more of a filler chapter as I didnt want to leave use with nothing to read. So do you think Klaus knew what Kiera was up too? and do you think her mum will be a better mum??
