Chapter 28 - Let the games begin

The forest blurred around me as I ran as fast as I could. I had no clue as to why I was running, I just knew that I had to run and I had to run fast. I suddenly came to a stop in the middle of a large clearing. Dead bodies were scattered all over the place. I recognized them as Hayleys pack. My eyes scanned the clearing looking for any sign on what happened until they landed on a women lying with her back to me, her brown hair spread out across the forest floor. I ran over to her recognizing her scent almost immediately. "No Hayley no!" I screamed as I knelled beside her. She clenched her stomach and started puking up blood. "G-get Sophia" she struggled to say before her eyes rolled back and she went cold.

Her body started to disappear along with the others, slowly the forest started turning into the concrete tombs of the cemetery. Infront of me stood Monique holding a dagger above a screaming Sophia. I tried to run to her but my feet were planted to the ground. Klaus ran from behind me but was stopped by the whole coven of witches. He was thrown against a wall, held down by their power before one of them ripped out his heart. I wanted to run to him and kill the witches but I couldn't,  I was stuck there useless and being forced to watch. The witches turned their attention back to Monique. "It is time" one of the elders said as the rest of them nodded. Charlotte appeared from behind Monique. I screamed in protest but it was to late. The scene in-front of me disappeared once again. I closed my eyes and opened them to find myself in my mums flat. She was in the corner of the room holding Aiden tightly to her chest. Standing in-front of her was Charlotte's mum, Emily with a bunch of other witches behind her. "you had your chance to join us" she said to my mum in a taunting manner. "I would never help you!" my mum spat back at her. She laughed and started chanting a long with the other witches. I watches as the witches walked closer to her, I couldn't do anything to stop them. Again I was frozen on the spot. The witches stopped chanting and slowly disappeared one-by-one the last being Emily. Before Emily disappeared she picked up a now crying Aiden and took her with him, leaving my mums dead body in the middle of the room. I went to run to her side when a large hand grabbing my shoulders stopped me. I turned around to see Tony standing in-front of me with an emotionless face.

Tony "This is all your fault" he spat.

I couldn't hold back the tears from falling as I looked over at my mum. "I- I couldn't move, I wanted to stop them but I couldn't" I cried into my hands. Tony shook my shoulders until I looked up at him.

Tony "You can stop this from happening Kiera, you need to protect your mum and my son"

His voice was the last thing I heard before I was tumbling into darkness heading towards a bright light. I opened my eyes to see a worried looking Jay standing over me. I looked around, I was in Jays room lying on his bed. "How did I get here?" i asked, rubbing my sore head.

Jay "you don't remember?"

I shook my head in response. He sighed and sat down beside me.

Jay "You came over here last night panicking about how it wasn't safe at the compound. You said you need to stop them and that it was all your fault"

I looked at his eyes to see if there was any signs of him lying to me. I hoped that he was trying to play a prank on me but sadly I could tell he was telling the truth. How could I not remember any of that? I started to panic one again. It had been a dew days since Klaus banned me from leaving the compound. He's going to kill me when he finds out. Jay must of noticed me slightly panicking because he cradles me in his arms and whispered soothing words making me relax into him. "who's them?" he knitted his eye brows together in confusion. "you said that I said I needed to stop them, who's them?"

Jay "The witches I think"

As soon as those words left his mouth I shot up from our comfortable position and raced towards the door with Jay hot on my heels.

Jay "where are you going?"

"I need to find Klaus" I simply stated before VS back to the compound. I Stormed around the compound shouting on Klaus and Elijah until they appeared in-front of me whilst the whole time Jay followed me around like a little lost puppy. We met Hayley on our travels.

Klaus "I thought I made it clear that you were to not leave the compound without one of us by your side" he said, pointing to himself and Elijah.

"yea, yea I know Klaus but we haven't got time to argue, I need to tell you guys something" we all sat down in the living room and I told them every single detail of my crazy dream.

Jay "wait a sec, you think Charlotte's working with the witches?"

"no Jay, I know shes working with the witches"

Hayley "so what do we do?"

Klaus "We kill the lot of them"

Of course he would say that. That's his way of solving everything. He balled his fists and started pacing the room. "no! we have to come up with some kind of plan"

Elijah "What do you suggest we do then Kiera?"

I paused for a moment. We had to think this through carefully. We couldn't just go ahead and attack they would surely have some kind of back up plan, If they're smart enough. "We continue as normal" I simply shrugged. They all stared at me as if I was barking mad. "Think about it they've probably been planning this for months now, we make it look like we're totally oblivious when in reality were coming up with a plan of our own, a way to destroy them all for good, we can built up a secret army starting with the vampires and werewolves.

Jay "So we just continue like nothings happened in-front of them?"

"yes Jay" I sighed. He wasn't being the brightest crayon in the crayon box today. I could hardly blame him though, I probably kept him up most of the night.

Hayley "She's right, it's devious and I like it"

Elijah "But there's one problem, the werewolves and vampires wont work together"

"They will when there only other option is death." They all nodded in agreement

Klaus "so let the games begin"

After talking to them about how were going to get everyone prepared and ready to fight, I decided to come up with my own little plan to find out exactly what it is Charlotte is up to. I felt hurt that she would betray me like that, shes been my best friend since nappy days. She wouldn't betray me like that would she? maybe my dream was wrong. My phone buzzed and lit up signaling i had a text message. It was from the little traitor herself. I opened up the text message and it said

Party and mines tomorrow, free house, be there! xo

If she was up to something then I was definitely going to find out tomorrow at this party.

Hey guys long time no see! so this story is officially off hold! :D

Sorry I've been away for so long who knew my life could suddenly become so busy! it was just one thing after another! but I'm back now and will continue to update as regularly as I can.

Just wanted to thank you all for waiting and for all your votes they have inspired me to write and I'm sorry for any mistakes i'm not a professional writer as you can probably tell but I do my best. This story will be majorly edited once its finished!
