Sally's P.O.V
Three months passed and it's was the opening night for Hannibal. Erik and I spent more time together but sometimes he was busy with something that he refuses to tell me what it is. No matter, I'll ask about it later, but right I have to concentrate. This is the last practice before the show.
"With feasting and dancing and song
Tonight a celebration we bring
The victorious throng returns to bring salvation
The trumpets of Carthage resound!"
As we sang, Carlotta tripped over her dress but she carried on. Meg and Christine came out and did their dance with the rest of the corps de ballet. But the manager, Monsieur Lefevre, walked in and everyone fell silent and there were two unfamiliar men behind him. Monsieur Lefevre asked for everyone attention and said that he was retiring. Retiring? I have heard some rumors about that, but I didn't think it was true. And he decided to leave the role to two men named Richard Firmin and Gilles Andre. Monsieur Richard was taller than Andre and had hair tossed back while his friend had grey hair that looked like it exploded out of his head. I spotted Lamia give him a flirty wave and Andre reverted his eyes as though he didn't see her, but you could see him blushing.
"And we are deeply honored to introduce our new patron, The Vitcomte de Changy!" Firmin announced. Everyone applauded as the tall blonde man came on stage. I strolled over to Christine and Meg and I heard Christine say,
"It's Raoul! Before my father died, at the house by the sea... I guess you can say we were childhood sweethearts. He called me Little Lottie." Her cheeks were bright red. So she still has a crush on him, that's sweet - wait what's Erik going to think?
"Oh Christine, he's so handsome!" Meg replied. Handsome?! Well he had nice eyes, but his hair made him seem like a girl!
Lefevre introduces the new managers and Raoul to La Carlotta. Then they started talking and Raoul asked to see the scene from the beginning so everyone took their places. First the dancers came on and Madame Giry explained the ballet division to Andre and Firmin.
Then suddenly Carlotta started bickering because she thought the managers only cared about the ballerinas since Firmin and Andre kept complimenting them. Lefevre tried to calm her down but she wouldn't have it.
"I WILL NOT BE SINGING!" I heard her shout. What a drama queen. The new managers ran after her and started saying things like Prima Bella, Goddess of Song, and such and such. After a couple minutes of worshiping her, Andre suggested that Carlotta should sing the aria from act three, Think of me. Carlotta said alright and took her place at the front of the stage. She began to sing when suddenly a backdrop fell on her!
"He's here, The Phantom of the Opera!" Meg sang. Did Erik seriously do that? I guess who else it would be. The managers helped Carlotta up and Joseph Buquet, the set master, said it wasn't him. Then I guess it really was Erik. Now Carlotta was done, she gave her last rant then stormed out of the theater. Finally. Then Monsiuer Lefevre left as well. Well now what are we going to do? We lost the star of the show! But I am happy she left. Madame Giry came up to the two managers with a letter from The Opera Ghost. Oh boy.
"He welcomes you to his opera house. And commands that you leave box 5 open for his use and his salary is due." Salary?
About ten minutes passed and Andre and Firmin started wondering how to get a new star. Then Madame Giry suggested Christine should take the role, actually that could work. Andre asked who her tutor was and she didn't know, suspicious.

Christine is a fantastic singer! We've finished our first show flawlessly. There is a party back stage and Christine is probably in her dressing room since I can't find her, but luckily I bump into Meg.
"Meg! Does Christine really not know the name of her tutor or is she just scared?"
"She said something about The Angel of Music." I knew it. I thank her and ran off.
As I ran though the crowd, I slammed into Raoul.
"I'm terribly sorry Monsieur!" I said as I helped him up.
"It's fine, that was a fantastic performance. Do you know where Christine is?" He asked carring an enormous bonquet of flowers.
"I think she's...uh in her dressing room." I should not have said that Erik is going to be pissed.
Erik's P.O.V.
Watching this boy Raoul and Christine talk is irritating and now he ask her to dinner! Who does he think he is. Anger washed me until Raoul left the room.
"Insolent boy
This slave of fashion,
Basking in your glory!
Ignorant fool!
This brave young suitor
Sharing in my triumph!" I sang angrily. Shocked that I was listening, Christine froze but replied,
"Angel I hear you,
Speak I listen
Stay by my side
Guide me!
Angel my soul was weak forgive.
Enter at last Master!" I will forgive her, for now.
"Flattering child you shall know me,
See why in shadows I hide.
Look at your face in the mirror
I am there inside!" I sang again. I pushed the two way mirror aside and Christine walked toward me.
