Erik's P.O.V.
After the event on the rooftop scene I found myself vanishing from the face of the earth into the dark pit I call home. I couldn't face Christine....it was too much. Sally checks up on me once in a while, but she understands that I what to be alone. I pass the time composing my opera which is almost done, it's perfect and everything will go according to plan. I shall be with my love and Raoul shall never have her! I know exactly how my plan shall lay out. First I will have a surprising entrance at the Masquerade Ball, and then I shall give my new opera to the fools or so called managers. Sally says that she will help me with my astounding entrance, I find myself rather excited for the ball. It's not like any other formal occasion where old friends and family greet each other, you are in the mist of a crowd of strangers dancing about. No one knows you, no one sees you....no one judges you.
Sally's P.O.V
It's tomorrow! The ball of a lifetime is tomorrow! The entire opera house is thrilled including myself, but almost all the girls are complaining that they don't have a partner I guess it's un-lady like and it must be to modern for them to ask the men yourself. Good thing I'm not a lady! As odd as it sounds I want to ask out Erik, but as a friend and if he refuses me I don't care I'lll party by myself! Meg and I are shopping for our dresses and masks, I've been saving up for two months for this. Meg and I walk into a shop filled with elegant dresses and accessories. A feeling of jolly fills the air as shoppers walk about.
"I already have a costume I just need a mask. Are you gonna have a costume or just a dress and mask?" Meg asked.
"I think I'm going to just have the dress and mask."
"Oh! I know a couple of dresses that would look fantastic on you!" Meg said happily. She grabbed my head and we ran through the shop and gained some odd looks from other customers. When we stopped she showed me few beautiful ball gowns. As Meg and I scanned through them we saw it. We both gasped, I snatched the dress and spirited to a dressing room. The ball gown was blue and silver with baggy ruffles down the side. When I put it on Meg and I looked into the mirror, as cheesy as it may seem I absolutely felt like a princess! It was perfect!
When I found a mask that suited the dress we went to go pay for it. My mask was also silver that covered the skin around my eyes with tiny little fake diamonds near the end.
"400 franks." The man at the counter said. 400! Wow.
I have now used up all my money but it was so worth it! As Meg and I strolled back to the opera house I hummed to a song.
"Oh Sally what if no one wants to dance with me?" Meg said sadly. Alright that's it. I can't take anymore, therapist Sally is in.
"Listen to Meg, I promise you that you will dance with someone. It's going to happen, but unfortunately life isn't a fairy tale sometimes the princess needs to court prince charming herself. Yes?" Meg smiled at me oddly.
"I'm a woman and isn't that the man's job? But isn't that against the rules?"
"There's rules? Since when? Don't worry Meg want me to help you ask someone?" Meg began to fill will joy.
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Thank you Sally!" she said as she hugged me.
