Sally P.O.V

I didn't sleep very much last night, I kept tossing and turning so I decided to draw. I lit a candle and grabbed my personal art supplies that we're hiding under my bed. I loved drawing, it let me get my thoughts out and the sketch didn't have to contain real things, it could places that don't exist and people that aren't real. I took my pencil and lightly sketched an outline of a human figure, but I was disturbed by a knock on the door. I set my drawing aside and crawled out of bed.

"Yes?" I said as I opened the door. I looked and saw Meg standing in the doorway.

"Good Morning Sally I was just going to tell you that Madam Giry would like to see you once you got dressed." She said smiling. That girl was always smiling but I liked her. I sighed said okay and shut the door. After I was dressed I walked down to Madam Giry office and lightly knocked on the door. When she gave me permission to enter I found her sitting on the couch waiting for me.

"Please, sit down." She said politely. I did as she asked and she poured me some tea. Her office had many photographs an antiques.

"Are you enjoying your career as a chorus member?" Madam Giry asked.

"Yes I really like here. Am I in trouble Madam Giry?" I said with nervousness in my voice. I hated the thought of being in trouble, I guess you can say I am Miss Goo-die Too-Shoes. She smiled and shook her head.

"Sally, have you ever heard the story about the strange events of the Phantom of Opera?" I shook my head. I can't tell her that I've met him but I am curious about the story.

"The Opera Ghost lurks in the shadows of the opera house, mostly around Box 5, I don't believe that nonsense of ghosts of course but that doesn't change the fact that he is real. Sally, according to the set designers Eadred and Aden, they said that they saw him jump out of the catwalk in front of you. Is this true?" He was only doing it to protect me and why does she have to know?

"Yes it's true." I answered. She leaned forward to me.

"He is very dangerous, if you have had any other encounters with him I suggest you tell me. You may go to rehearsal." I exited the room as quickly as I could and started walking to rehearsal. Don't get me wrong Madam Giry is very nice but sometimes she scares me. As I walked I heard whispers about me and yesterday's events.

"I heard Sally is a friend of the Phantom." One ballerina said.

"But the Opera Ghost doesn't have friends. Does he?" Her friend answered. I tried my best to ignore them and continued walking to the stage.

The rehearsal was so long, my voice is exhausted. And the Prima Donna, La Carlotta babbled the whole time about how the ballerinas were in her way and that the chorus was too loud. And also she kept yelling at Christine! She was doing nothing at all! I hated Carlotta. But at least now I can continue my drawing in my dorm. I smiled at thought of peaceful solitude. When I arrived at my room I crawled into the bed and continued sketching the figure on my paper.

"Nice drawing."

I jumped out of my bed and saw Erik standing behind the bed frame.

"You've got to stop scaring me like that." I told him.

"I apologize." Erik said.

"How did you get in?" I asked. Erik tapped his foot on the ground and said,

"Trap door. Please continue drawing I didn't mean to disturb you." I smiled. I looked at my drawing, I can finish it later, I thought.

"No it's okay, actually I was wondering if we could go to you place."

"My place?" Why did he always question where we were going.

"Um....Sure." Erik said with a indefinite answer.

Erik's P.O.V

As we were walking to my domain, I found myself wondering, Why does she want to come down here? I've never met anyone like her, she's strange and mysterious at the same time.

"Why do you want to come down here?" I asked her finally. She looked at me like I should know the answer, but I looked back at her with a confused look.

"Your home is so cool!" Sally replied.

"Cool? It's cold?" Sally giggled a bit when I said this. That's the other thing about her, her vocabulary is so...different.

"I mean it's interesting." Sally corrected herself. I raised an eyebrow at her and she followed, like a mirror. Alright then. We had a couple minutes of silence until we reached the gondola. When we arrived, I helped Sally into the gondola and she thanked me. We rode across the shallow lake until I finally asked without thinking,

"How old are you?" The second after I asked that I felt myself blushing. Sally noticed an answered the question with no trouble.

"I'm turned 21 in June. Why do you ask?"

"Nothing." I said quickly.

"When is your birthday?" I paused. For most people this is an easy question to answer, but I am not most people.

"Sometime around October... I think." She looked up at me with a questioning look.

"You think?" Sally replied.

"It is not a conversation I am willing to discuss." Immediately Sally turned away, not in fear that she confronted me with a personal issue but out of respect. Again we had silence until we reached our destination. I could see a smile on her face as she looked around. This caused me to smile too. When the gondola stopped, Sally helped herself and gave me her hand. I took it and she began looking at all my random odds and ends.

"I'm sorry it's such a mess." I said.

"Oh it's fine. What would you like to do?" Sally asked.

"Do you play an instrument? Piano? Violin?" I asked sitting at my organ. Sally shook her hands and answered,

"No no, I can't play anything. I can draw-sort of. But I can't play an instrument. But I like to listen to someone play." I smiled I know what she's implying, I know exactly what to play for her. I asked her if I should play and Sally nodded her head eagerly. I placed my hands on the keys and began to play, the tune of the song was mysterious but soft. Sally closed her eyes swayed her head to the melody of the song. She sat down next to me and I tensed a little, I am not used to someone so close to me. She picked up a piece of paper and said,

"What's this?"

"Oh, those are the lyrics of this piece I am composing." I answered.

"Can you sing for me?" Sally asked handing me the parchment.

"Sure." I prepared my voice and began to sing.

Nighttime sharpens

Night unfurls it's splendor

Silently the senses

Abandon there defenses

Sally closed her eyes and listened. She seemed entranced by the melody and words and a small tear went down her face.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"It's - it's just so beautiful. Sing that to Christine." Sally said.

"I will."
