"Babydoll, what's this?" He held up his hand, revealing Pete's jacket that'd been hidden behind his back.

My eyes widened, "Oh, that's, um...I bought it the other day."

"I'm pretty sure this is Pete's jacket."

"I was sure I had one that looked just like that...I put it there the other day since we had Andy and Meredith over for dinner and I didn't just wanna leave it out."

"We?"

"Pete offered to help me cook dinner since there was a lot to be done, it's no biggie." I said anxiously, hoping he wouldn't question me any further.

"Oh, that's fine. I can't believe I missed out on our dinner plans! I need to catch up with everyone soon." He exclaimed, stopping to think for a bit. "We should definitely invite everyone over some time soon."

"Yeah, Maybe."

"How about tomorrow, around 4:30?"

"Oh, but um babe... We haven't seen each other in a while and I wanted us to hang out together. I was thinking we could go to the café tomorrow, just the two of us?" I suggested.

"Well I do want to see everyone else, but you are my main priority at this moment. Yeah, the cafe sounds like a good idea. We can have them over on Friday. If that's alright with you?"

"Yeah, that sounds just fine! We should buy board games ahead of time."

"That sounds like a great idea." He enthused.

I grinned up at him and we headed over to the couch, still in an embrace. We were searching through the Netflix titles and settled on something romantic. We had decided on Before We Go, I couldn't say no to a bearded Chris Evans.

We cuddled up next to each other and it was comforting, a change from the feeling I had earlier which was still lingering, although it was fading slowly. I was just hoping that nothing would happen to worsen the situation.

"Oh babydoll, I love you. I've missed you so much." Patrick gazes into my eyes. My eyes widen and I look away. "Babydoll?"

I started feeling really guilty again, "I.. I... uh... love you too Patrick. Now let's get back to the movie." I kiss him on the cheek and snuggled closer, hoping he didn't notice my stuttering. I glanced back up at him and he had an upset and discouraged look on his face. "Patrick? What's wrong?"

"It's just... it didn't sound like you meant it. Did you?"

I huffed. "Patrick, are you serious? Of course, I love you. I will always love you. You shouldn't doubt that."

"Yeah, I am sorry. You just seemed so unsure."

Was I unsure? Did I really love Patrick, or did I have some feelings for Pete? We continued to watch the movie, then went to bed.
