"Ms (l/n), are you a prosecutor?"

"Y-yes."

"Please help me."

I was taken back, I didn't know how to reply; to a ghost. The train stopped as the male figure stood up. "Please don't be afraid, I won't hurt you." He reassured, taking a step closer to me. I panicked and took a step back. The atmosphere became thick and dense as silence enveloped the train cart. "I can't hurt you since I am you know, a ghost." He chuckled, in an attempt to lighten the tense atmosphere.

"H-how did you kn~." Am I really having a conversation with a ghost? My mind quickly ran through any sort of possibility or chance this could happen and it came back with nothing. How is this possible?

"Your name?" He interrupted, I hesitantly nodded. Slowly gaining back my composure. "Your name tag." He smiled warmly. I subconsciously smiled back slightly letting my tense shoulders relax, he can't harm me, right?

"Now arriving at Seoul Station." I robotic voice called, interrupting my intense stare at the mysterious figure. This was my stop. I hastily picked up my bag and backed off onto the platform.

"No please~." He desperately called out to me, he sprinted after me only to be stopped by an invisible wall. The train's doors closed soon afterwards. I took a deep breath in and then out, pinching myself roughly in the wrist. Am I dreaming? I pinched harder, feeling the stinging pain, I quickly let go of the pinch. I hiss slightly, rubbing the red patch of skin before heading out to my company building. The hot summer breeze hit me again once I exited the train station, the previous chills I felt had now vanished entirely. Taking a stroll to my work office.

"Good morning Ms (l/n)." The receptionist of my district greeted.

"Morning Minseo." I greeted back, heading over to the elevator.

"Good morning sweetie." I hear a familiar voice greet as the elevator doors opened, revealing my dashing father.

"Morning dad." I chirped in reply.

"Are you sick sweetie?" He suddenly spoke, I frowned, nodding my head no. "You look pale like you've seen a ghost." He pointed out before chuckling to himself. Well, he wasn't wrong there. I joined in with my father's laughter, laughing nervously.

"Speaking of which, had there been a recent death on train Gyeongbu line?" I inquired casually as I let my gaze wander the plainly decorated elevator.

"No, not recently that I know of, they're pretty strict with safety guidelines nowadays." My father replied. Not recently, then how did the ghost get there?

"Recently?" I repeated his word earlier.

"Well in my days as a junior prosecutor I worked in a case with a few of my colleagues, a young boy around about your age committing suicide." I was bewildered by my father's response, I was not expecting that sort of an answer. The elevator door opened on the fifth floor and both my father and I exited the elevator.

"Do you still have the files to that case?"

"(Y/n)~ahhhh, that case was solved ten years ago, I don't know if we still have it." My father sighed. "Why the sudden interest anyway?"

"I was just curious," I mumbled.

"Well, I will look around to see if I can find it, no promises." He offered, I smiled widely. Quickly nodding my head. He smiled, ruffling my hair silently. "If you promise me to stop digging around old cases and work hard on completing your current ones, I swear you are going to get fired if you don't finish your workload quickly."
