It was now the right time for me to go to work so that's exactly what I did. Once I arrived I instantly headed up to Mr Wei's office to ask about the re-investigation of Jungkook's case. I wanted to get done before I forgot about it, I had my fingers crossed he would allow me to re-investigate. Because I had decided to investigate it no matter what he says. If he says yes it would make my life easier as I didn't have to sneak around but what can I do? After hearing Jungkook's story it really motivated me to help him. I always seek justice and am naturally curious. Not only am I curious person but the look in Jungkook's eyes when he told me his story and how he practically begged me to help broke my heart. He needed justice. I want to find the sole person responsible for Jungkook's death and release him from riding the train back and forth.  No matter what, I am investigating this case.

I arrived at the door to Mr Wei's office. Taking a death breath in before knocking. "Please come in." I hear his voice ring. I nodded my head, encouraging myself to be brave and opening the door to Mr Wei's office. I poked my head into the office and smiling politely. "Oh Ms (l/n), what brings you here?" He inquired, returning the polite smile I had given.

"I wanted to ask you something actually." I nervously spoke, taking a step into his office and closing the door behind myself. Here comes the nerve, I was sweating my tail off with nervousness. I had no idea how he was going to react once I bring it up. Some part of me wanted the dream to be fake but the other not. I guess we are finding out now.

"What is it?" He asked, now paying full attention to my presence.

"I was wondering if I could re-investigate a case." I trailed off.

"And how old is this case?" He gestured for me to continue.

"Ten years old." I replied, sounding more like a question than an answer. He chuckled slightly causing my eyes to wander around anxiously.

"Ms (l/n), you want to investigate a case which was completed ten years." He repeated. Hearing him say it out loud did make it sound weird but that's not the point. I have to re-investigate this case, whether he authorised it or not.

"Yes." I sternly responded. He caught my seriousness and quickly stopped laughing to himself. Sitting straight up in his seat.

"Which case would this be?" He leant his elbow on the desk of his table whilst sitting up straight. I gulped, he looked so intimidating and I had no idea how he was going to react once I tell him. Taking a sip of his coffee he had situated on his desk.

"The Gyeongbu line suicide case." I nervously replied. I swear he nearly choked on his coffee once he registered what I had just said. I could tell he was trying to keep his cool and sighed deeply before leaning back in his chair.

"(Y/n), that case was solved over ten years ago, why bring up an old case?" He casually asked.

"Because I believe the case was solved too early and not done properly." I braced myself for what he was going to say next. "So Mr Wei could you please give me permission to re-investigate this case?"

"NO." He shouted before recollecting his composure, coughing to clear his throat. "I mean no, I don't believe there is any reason for you to re-investigate the case again. It was solved and once cases are solved there is no reason to investigate it again, just like your father." He mumbled the last part. His sharp and odd behaviour proved my dream was correct. Of course, I couldn't be one hundred percent sure maybe asking my father would further confirm my assumptions.

"But sir~." I tried to protest.

"No is a no." He spoke sternly.

"If you could just~."

"Do you want to lose your job?" He warned sharply. I immediately stopped asking, shuffling my feet nervously. "Sorry for snapping (y/n) but no." I am sorry Jungkook I tried. I know having it authorised would be better. If it was authorised I could access much more information and resources but that is not the case. I have to accept that Mr Wei was not going to authorise this case and continue to investigate no matter what he says. I just have to be careful and aware. I think I have pushed it far enough.

"It's okay thank you, Mr Wei." I spoke quietly before bowing politely and taking my leave. I closed the door and stopped momentarily, closing my eyes and letting out a deep breath. My job just flashed in front of my eyes. I had just realised what I was doing, I need to think through this very thoroughly. I was helping a ghost, I know I was already agreed to help him but I might lose my job because of this. I only requested an authorization and was threatened to be fired. What would Mr Wei do if he found out I was going to go against his words?

"Sweetie are you alright?" I was snapped out of my daze by my father's worried tone. Maybe this was a good time to talk about the dream.

"I had a bad dream last night which caused me not to have the best of sleep." I sighed. He gestured for me to walk with him.

"What was it about?"

"I only got some of it but you, Mr Wei were in it." I tried to casually bring up. I didn't want to mislead him, I was planning on telling him about Jungkook and my story but for now, telling him about this is a good start. I have been through a lot these past two days and I think it would be quite a lot to take in.

"And what where Mr Wei and I doing?" I didn't speak for a few seconds. Because I was trying to find a way to say it in a light manner but there wasn't, there were simply arguing.

"Arguing." I simply replied. He paused for a second before asking another question.

"What about?"

"A suicide case..." I trailed off. I watched as my dad nervously gulped. He didn't say anything afterwards and for a few seconds. the journey to our offices was silent. "Dad?" I spoke, breaking the silence.

"Yes?"

"Did this happen in the past?" He nodded his head reluctantly and I gestured for him to continue. He told me everything leading to the argument to afterwards. It turned out he did confront Mr Wei about this but was turned down immediately. We tried again but was slapped by Mr Wei and threatened. I can't believe he is still working here. It turned out a few of the prosecutors working here who had left or still work here worked alongside my father in this case. Apparently, this case was huge. A lot of the evidence pointed to Mr Wei's son but it was all shut down once it came to getting the signature from Mr Wei. He was definitely protecting his son of course since it was shut down, they didn't actually get to prove this but there was a lot pointing to him. I was excited yet scared to tell Jungkook tonight because he might have wanted the case authorised and officially re-investigated.

School just started today for me so I decided to update earlier than usual. I hope you all are having a better day than me. Yesterday I found out my English holiday homework was meant to be handwritten and I typed a 6000 worded document. I've been spending all my free time writing it and I still am not even halfway. Wish me luck.
