It was 4:00 in the morning and neither Garroth nor Laurence were getting any sleep. They both were seated on the soft couch, a single blanket covering both of them as they both drank glasses of red wine. "You know, I never really expected to end this day with you next to me on the couch at like 4 in the morning and drinking," Laurence begins,

"Yeah me neither."

"You know I have work tomorrow, right?" Laurence asks with a small smile. Garroth rolls his eyes.

"Just skip? You can miss one day. You've worked so hard since the incident and you deserve a break," Garroth says and Laurence sighs.

"What about the García family?" Laurence mutters and the blonde tilts his head in confusion.

"Who?"

"The García family? You know, Nicolás, Valeria, and Sebastián?" The Spanish one repeats himself and Garroth nods.

"We can still go with them. Isn't their father going to be home?" Garroth smiles softly, combing his fingers through Laurence's soft brown hair.

"No," Laurence replies.

"Why not?"

"He works in NYC. He doesn't come back until night time and he usually leaves for work in the middle of the night. Their mom is never home so they're all by themselves before I arrive," He explains, staring softly at the fireplace. Garroth sighs.

"Why isn't their mom home?" He asks, though he already knows the answer. Laurence frowns.

"She's an alcoholic. She goes out a lot and rarely comes back for a few weeks or so, leaving the kids at home without anything to eat. So they cook themselves," The brunette shakily sighs and Garroth frowns.

"Awh, I feel so bad," Laurence shakes his head and waves it off.

"It's fine. It happens. Life is cruel," Laurence says which causes Garroth's face to fall.

"That's not fine. Laurence, those kids can't grow up like that! They'll become broken and dead inside!" The blonde snaps and the brunette nods.

"I know, Garroth. But if I tell someone then they might get taken away and separated from each other. They would each become a living wreck," Laurence states and Garroth frowns.

"But their environment is shitty."

"I know. I'll turn it in soon. I just have to find a way for them not to be separated," Laurence clutches the bridge of his nose, leaning forwards.

"Okay. Enough wine for the night," The blonde boy blurts out, taking the glass of wine from Laurence and placing it on the coffee table in front of them, afterwards giving the same treatment to his glass of red wine. "Let's go to bed," He smiles kindly at Laurence and they both stand and shut the downstairs light off, walking upstairs and into Laurence's bedroom. "Here, lay down," He whispers, helping the older male on the bed.

"I'm not a child you know, I can do this on my own," Laurence states. Garroth grins.

"I know, I just like taking care of you," He places a kiss on the brunette's forehead. "I'll be heading home now—" He begins before getting cut off.

"No. Sleep here. With me. Please?" Laurence smiles lightly which earns him a giggle and a nod from Garroth. The younger crawls into bed next to the older, cuddling up next to him lovingly. A smile creeps itself onto both of their faces, both boys enjoying the comfort and body heat the other is giving. The house is dark and it's only one hour until the sun begins to peek out. Silence overwhelms both boys, Laurence's eyes beginning to flutter closed.
