"Baby, I'm here, it's okay," Laurence whispers in his crying boyfriend's ear. Garroth had continued to cry and his screams began to spiral out of control as he locked his arms around Laurence's tan neck. Laurence still had no absolute idea what had broken the wall in Garroth's head, the one that held back all sad emotions. It's only until a couple of minutes later, like 30, when Garroth cools down and just lay there in the older's arms. "Are you okay my love?"

"No."

"What happened, baby? You can tell me," Laurence whispers and kisses Garroth's ear, jaw, and neck. His hands caress the boy's thigh gently and Garroth sighs shakily.

"My mom woke up."

Laurence freezes. Zianna Ro'meave had woken up from her coma. "W-What?" He stammers out, he could finally speak with his hero again. Zianna had always been a hero to Laurence, since he was a small boy. She saved his life once when he almost got hit by a car, she hid away with him at the top of a tree for hours and hours when he was smaller, and she gave him his own room in her house when he was a teenager. He loved her like she was his best friend. "Love, that's great news! Why are you upse—"

"She has brain cancer and they don't think she'll make it past a few hours," Garroth looks at Laurence and watches as all color leaves the brunette's tan skin and blue eyes.

"Oh," Laurence breathes out, his eyes beginning to brim up with tears. Zianna Ro'meave. A role model he looked up to as a child and an inspiration that kept him going, who was going to die in a few hours. The thought blew his mind. "Oh my god."

"Laurence we have to go see her," Garroth cries out with his hands tightly grasping Laurence's arms. The brunette nods and stands up, picking up his crying boyfriend as well. He wipes the tears off from the pale and slightly freckled face of the small Ro'meave.

"Okay baby, okay. Try to be calm though my love, its her last day and I don't think she wants to see you so upset," Laurence whispers, kissing the blonde on the lips gently. They follow the nurse to Zianna's hospital room and open the door to find a very sick looking woman in the bed, her eyes half lidded and staring at the wall, which was nicely decorated with pictures.

She looks over and smiles brightly at the sight of her oldest son. "Hi my little GarGar!" She cheers quietly. Garroth starts crying again, but manages to force a smile for his mom.

"Hi mommy, how are you?" He begins to hiccup and his hands begin shaking.

"Ah, I'm alright. Pretty soon I wont have to suffer anymore. You know that right, baby?"

"Yes mommy, but I wish you didn't have to go this way," The blondes soft words strike Laurence hard in the heart, making him realize just how upset this will make Garroth in the future. It'll make everyone upset, sure, but it'll turn Garroth into a living wreck. The latino locks his hand with his boyfriend's, catching the attention of Zianna.

"You guys are finally dating?! It's about time you two lovesick fools got together!" Zianna squeals and points at their hands. They laugh lightly and sit by her side, beginning to talk about all sorts of things and memories. Not long after, Zane walks in and smiles at the three with pain stretched through his eyes.

"Hey mom."

"My baby Zuzu! You're here!" Their mother screams in excitement, accepting a hug from Zane. Garroth joins in and soon Laurence silently leaves the room to give them quality family time together while they have it. After a couple of more hours, Garroth and Zane walk out in tears.

"She w-wants to s-speak with you, Laurence," Zane stammers, his tears running down to his mouth.

Laurence nods sympathetically, walking into the room and sighing at the sight. Zianna was grinning ear to ear at him. "Laurence, honey. I wanna tell you something before I go," She says.

Laurence nods, "What is it?" He begins to cry softly, without a sound. Zianna holds his hand in both of hers and shakes it calmly.

"Marry my boy. You have my blessing and make him happy. Make yourself happy. Don't stress yourself out too much. I love you."

"I love you too, Zianna," Uneven breaths pile out of the latino's mouth repeatedly.

"I'm so proud of you, hun. Stay strong for Vylad as well, tell everyone I love them, but most importantly, I want you to know one thing."

"What is it?"

"You made my family so happy. Garroth, Vylad, Zane, Garte, and all. So I wanna say, thank you."

"Zianna," whimpers fly out of Laurence's mouth and stutters fight it's way to the tip of his tongue.

"Promise me you'll take care of Garroth, honey," She whispers.

"I promise," Zianna's tears roll down her face and she inhales deeply, her eyes locking with the wall. And that was the last breath Zianna ever took before the monitor flatlined. Her muscles relaxed and her jaw dropped in a way no human could explain, her eyes going pale to the point where Laurence just had to look away. The doctors rushed in and covered her up with the blanket, talking about her date and time of death. And just like that, she was gone.
