The final aspect of the lives of the rich andsuccessful that you will need to incorporate into your dream lifefollows on from and is a natural by-product of spirituality: thelegacy you leave behind.

If there is one thing that nearly all the rich havein common, it's the sense of needing to give something back – tothe community, to others, to the world. As a result of their efforts, some set up a foundation to fund other people's dreams or buildorganizations that mentor others in the same field or create someother situation that allows their work to continue after their death.

After all, what's the point of doing all this hardwork creating a dream life, if death is going to steal it all away?So one way to leave a lasting contribution is to make sure that ourdream life is sustainable and can help other people to achieve thesame or a similar result.

Indeed, religion agrees that all who enter eternallife have done something for the poor – it is one of the greatrequirements of Heaven, so if you are lying on your deathbed andrealize that you haven't done anything for the poor yet, YOU SHOULDWORRY.

So the final thing to consider in your dream life iswhat you plan to do to let it continue in your eventual absence dueto death. This may mean setting up a foundation or charity, teaching othersyour "way", so that they can replicate your results in the sameway or do some other thing to let your dream live on after you.

You are free to create whatever you want in thisvein, as long as it is not immoral or corrupting or otherwiseunethical. If you have been paying attention to what I've been tryingto say to you in this book, you will probably have figured out by nowthat your legacy should focus on the same values, beliefs, principles, spirituality and attitude that you yourself focused on toachieve your dream life. In doing so, you will "pay it forward"to others who also need to know what you know and do what you do tomake their dreams come true!
