He has never expected to be somehow special.

Of course, he was the Matteo Balsano, one of the most popular people in Blake, the very same in the Roller. He owned the places he had been spending most of the time, more or less, and it was enough in some way. That was all he needed for at this point of his life and when he needed more, he just reached for it always. He had best friends, who were the people whom he let out the closest, his parents weren't the worst. Matteo had money, reputation and amazing grades, probably allowing him get to some fancy university in the future. And that was enough to not complain.

Yet, life has a funny way of working out, when you think you don't need anything else and showing you that you can do different and better. Life has a funny way of working out just when you start believe it never will.

Matteo has been skating randomly around Cancun, using one of his last days in the city. Ignoring Ambar's calls and Gastón's texts goes unbelievably easily; why would he let the mess this afternoon with their whining about anything? Yeah, not gonna happen.

Ambar managed to convince her godmother to stay her two friends stay over in the Cancun mansion, and since Sharon was doing some shitty, boring business, they were able to drink alcohol next to the pool for many evenings so far.

Today they planned the same, or maybe going to the beach, but it's not like Matteo cares; he is on vacation and if they want to plan something, he won't be the part of it. Of course, he will probably pay for pizza, but now he wants to skate around.

He probably got carried away with that and he knows that, but he surely won't bump into someone while skating through the sidewalk, he is too good for that. He notices a girl skating towards him, wearing funny delivery uniform, so he moves away to let her go and avoid any collision. Matteo feels like he saw her before somewhere, but he can't say where or when or how, and it lowkey bothers him, because he wouldn't forget someone looking like this.

Ignoring this weird feeling in his chest the Italian tries to pass her by, yet blink later he is in front of her, hoping that he will manage to steady her and not fall down.

His hands go quickly and sure around her waist, pulling her to his chest and she looks up opening her mouth, but they both freeze a little. The familiarity takes over Matteo quickly, his blood speeds up and he's not sure if his quick breathing is caused by adrenaline or something else. Next second he calms down having her close and trying not to be staring psycho, he asks: "What was that?" fully knowing that it's very ridiculous question.

Her green eyes are set on him, they are shining like stars are hidden in them, or something even bigger and it distracts Matteo for a small moment, until she speaks.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what happened."

He sighs softly and decides it's time to take his hands away, or it's gonna be even more awkward, but it's like his hands are made of metal and the girl is the strongest magnet, because he is not able to pull back. Something pushes her even closer to his chest and Matteo is truly lost. He probably drank too much and mixed too much last night.

"Did you feel that?" leaves his mouth, hoping that this pretty, small brunette knows anything. "This... I don't even know how to name that." She scrunches her nose a little in this cute way, and Balsano looks up, trying to check if his head is spinning. He closes his eyes, because everything is okay, yet here he is – going crazy.

"What is your name?" She asks and Matteo automatically smirks at her, noticing this dissatisfied face of hers and she probably thinks he is an asshole. "I am Matteo. You, delivery girl?"

The Italian decides to casually try again, so he offers her his hand, waiting for her name. She takes it and lightning strikes him from inside. Brunette seems to try to act casual and he blesses her for that. "I'm Luna."

Matteo grins a little, trying to gather his thoughts from this big mess made of unsaid words he would like to let out right now, but there's not enough time. "I feel like I already know you, Luna. Do you have any idea why?"

Her eyes widen almost not noticeable, he does though and decides to leave it, to not make her any more uncomfortable.

"I think I might know that, but it's very weird." Luna stares at him with a little weird eyes, looking slowly up and down, and he can't really feel bothered by pretty girl watching him. "I have to go, Matteo, I'm in work."

He growls internally and curses few times, blessing his luck. At least he has time for the last experiment and if the same happens, at least he can guess that he isn't going crazy. He decides to be calm now, hoping he won't scare her away. "Wait a second, raise your hand."

Luna does it immediately without questioning him, and he likes it more than he thought, even if she is just random girl he bumped in Cancun, thousands of kilometers away from the very place he lives. He stops his hand few centimeters from her, waiting for what will happen now.

She looks into his eyes and Matteo loses his focus on weird pulling shit, because her eyes still make his heart skips a beat softly. Their hands are suddenly pressed together, his skin almost like fits his own and if it's not the weirdest, sappiest things that has ever happened to Matteo Balsano, he has no idea what is. He mumbles tiny 'wow' and Luna pulls away.

"Matteo..." he really loves the way she says his name. "I really need to go."

"You can't go now. I deserve some explanation." He jokes a little, hoping that she will catch that he needs more. Luna offers him small smile. "If it's what I think it is we will meet again and I'm sure it will be soon. But now I need to keep my place at work."

He sighs and gives up."Can I trust you with that?"

"You can, I promise." Her voice is sure and strong somehow.

That's why Matteo believes her.

He had never dreamed in his life.

Until he met her.

He knew it from the very first moment, that she wasn't going to be any random person in his life. It wasn't love at first sight, hell, he didn't know what love was back then. But she felt known, familiar. And he knew she would mess with him in all good ways possible.

And she made him special.
