You creep into the silent tent as you spotted a quiet Ivar sitting at a wooded table.

"I want to be alone." He said quietly.

"Ivar," You sat down at the same table. "talk to me."

He sighed and chuckled angrily. "What would like me to say?!"

"I don't know I-"

"I'm sorry I murdered my brother, I'm sorry I threw an axe at Sigurd's chest and killed him with no remorse, I'm sorry that my brothers will now no longer trust me, and I'm sorry for being a stupid cripple." He said between snarled shouts.

"I was going to say that even though what you did is really bad, I still love you." You remark.

You wanted to comfort him in every way possible, wrap your arms around him and hug him to the point where he couldn't breathe. But you knew he didn't want to be comforted in any way; knowing what he had done.

"I love you too." He replied.

"I know you feel bad-" You began.

Ivar cut you of in an instant. "Bad?! I don't feel bad, at all, but I really want to."

You narrowed your eyebrows in confusion.

"Y/n, I threw that axe because I was beyond angry. He taunted and tortured me for so long I couldn't take it" he gritted his teeth.

"And the worst part is," he began again, "I don't regret it."

You lay your head upon his armored shoulders and locked his hand with yours.

"I know." You mumble before placing a small peck on his pale cheek.

"I will never ever be trusted again."

You sit up, "That's not true Ivar. It's just, I do believe that it will take more than a plea to the gods to regain the trust of your brothers."

He sighed. "Why don't you hate me y/n?"

"Because I see exactly where your coming from, and I know you are not the monster you put out to be." You say, then resting your chin on his shoulder.

"Don't worry, they can't hate you forever."

"We'll see."
