Alex: The Aethen Ball

Tonight was the night. Thanks gods. We were to finally 'graduate' , as one might say, from Queens-in-Training. Meaning we were going to be officially crowned queens. since we ran away last year, our parents had us do an additional year of 'Queen Training'. We all hated it with a passion. Libby, Lottie, Nathalie, and Evie had all been deemed Duchesses of Aether, and Nath and Liam had been deemed Dukes. Chale, being of lower class, had been given knighthood. But WE had to be trained for silly things like how to walk in heels, how to wave, how to ride. (I ride just FINE thank you very much, mother.) Everything was so... Royal-y. *shudders* I picked at my new gown that I had made from my element. It was a green, strapless silk gown with a black belt. I had on a pair of green and white sandaled high heels, with small leaves as accents. I also wore a pair of green raindrop earrings, my element ring, My elemental pendant, and my hair was in a rose up-do. This was basically the only thing going through my head at that moment I hate my bloody life. I walked over to my window and sat on the window seat, looking up at the bright white moon. I closed my eyes and sang softly.

I don't want to make a scene

Try to do my own thing

And I'm starting to figure it out

But look at what a mess we made

I heard my door open and close and I looked over to see my sisters looking miserable. Trinity went bounding over to them and started licking them. They laughed and petted her. They looked up at me with sad eyes. I got up and walked over to them. We all hugged and cried. Sydney was wearing a Dark Blue sleeveless dress with silver lining and dark blue high heeled sandals. Her hair was loose and she wore a flower headband. She also had her pendant necklace and her element ring. Tessa wore a red Tulle Gown with Leaf Embroidery and red rhinestoned high heels. She had on ruby earrings, her element ring, and pendant. her hair was mostly down, except for a piece that was braided over her head like a headband. Leia was trying hard, not to pass out in her brown Quinceanera Gown, and trying hard not to fall down in her multi-strap high heels. Her hair was up in a bun with a diamond headband. She had on a pair of simple feather earrings, her element ring, and her pendant.

Libby, Lottie, Nathalie, and Evie walked in wearing pretty extravagant outfit and had expressions that were a mixture of, 'This is scary' 'these dresses are uncomfortable' 'what's with all the pink' and 'I can't fudging breathe' We smiled sadly at one another.  Libby was wearing a strapless pink ball gown with strappy high heels, along with her element ring and pink Morgan earrings. her hair was pulled into a mixture of a fish-tail, and normal braid. Lottie wore a Dark purple, beaded ball gown with purple High heeled sandals. She also had in a pair of Purple pearl earrings and her amethyst element ring. her hair was in a bun and she had a diamond hair pin in the back. Evie wore a dark blue ball gown with blue diamond studded high heels. She wore a pair of blue sparkled studs, and her gold element ring and her hair was in a twisty bun. Nathalie being the crazy Disney fan she is, went for an Elsa Disney-bound. She had a light blue one shoulder dress with a veiled back and light blue strappy heels. She put in simple Light blue studs and her element ring. her hair was twisted up in some places and pinned back with pearl hair pins. We had all grown quite close over the last year, and we were all practically sisters at this point. The kingdom advisors however, didn't approve of us being friends and of Chale, Liam, and Nath being in relationships with us because we were 'Better' than them. Every time I hear that I want to walk right up to them and throttle them. I almost did once when Liam and I came back from a lunch in the forest, and he told mum and dad that "Liam was unsuitable for my courter, and that he would start making a list of eligible bachelors to attend our coronation." and I think he still did. 

We got up and walked outside, then proceeded to walk to the stairs, ready to walk downstairs. Once we got to the stairs, we were introduced and we walked through the ballroom. No sooner than I stepped foot on the dance floor, I was swept up by a young man, no doubt from the Northern Isles. "Princess Alexandria. You look absolutely beautiful tonight. Might I ask for you to court me?" I looked at Liam and winked he seemed to get the picture and started forward. I answered him "Sorry. I'm taken." right when he had to spin me, and I spun right into Liam's arms. I sighed in relief when I was dancing with him. it was just so much more natural, and less forced.  I saw the Advisor glaring out of the corner and I smirked. Liam twirled me around and then dipped me. "You look gorgeous tonight love." he said quietly. I blushed and said "Thank-you, you clean up nicely too." He smiled and we let go of each other, took a step back and clapped twice. He then placed his hand on my waist, to the right, and I took his right hand in my left, and put my other hand out. We walked in a slow circle, stepped back clapped again, and then he put his hands on my waist, lifted me in the air, my arms out like a bird, my head thrown back with a smile etched upon my face, my eyes closed. He put me down again, twirled me out, and back in, right into his arms. I then twirled out, let go and clapped. Then the song ended. Everybody clapped and I realized everyone had stopped to watch us. I blushed again and push a lock of my hair behind my ear that had fallen out of the up-do. Then I heard P.B., Trinity, and Moana barking, and Vortexia Meowing loudly. They came racing down the stairs with the guards chasing after them. We all let out giggles as they came bounding towards us, jumping at us. I laughed out loud with my sisters and bent down to Pet Trin. "Are you getting in trouble again, Trinity?" I said, fake scolding her. She looked down guiltily and I smiled and continued to pet her. Liam bent down and did the same. "Get those filthy BEASTS out of here, NOW!" The Advisor Yelled. I got up fury in my eyes and spun on my heel, walking right up to him till we were eye to eye. "WHAT THE BLOODY HELL DID YOU JUST CALL MY DOG?" I shouted at him. He glared at me and said "I suggest you treat me with some respect princess. Last time I looked, you were the ones who ran off from your duties and I had to take them over while you pranced around in the mortal world collecting any boy you could find and playing with these beasts." I was shocked. "How DARE you make such an accusation against my sister!" Tessa Spat. "She didn't Collect any boys of any sort, she has always been and always will be loyal to Liam." Sydney added in. "And these 'beasts' just happen to be one of the only beings we can actually count on, unlike you." Leia concluded, fury in her eyes. We were all about to continue, but a loud sound interrupted our debate... it almost sounded like a... portal. We watched a swirling vortex appear in awe and our pets jumped into our arms, but we were being dragged towards it, Liam, Chale, Nath, Libby, Lottie, Evie, Nathalie, Leia, Tessa, Sydney and I were thrown into the portal by an invisible force, our pets along with us, and then everything turned black.... We seem to be making a habit of losing consciousness lately. Was my very last thought.
