Sydney: Take Off

I hugged the girls goodbye at the gates and ran up to meet Evie and Nat on the boarding ramp. I was heading out to California with them for Evie's family reunion. once we reached our seats, I automatically called "Window Seat!" I put my carry on bag in the compartment above and sat down. After the seatbelt warning and safety call were finished and we were in the air, i unbuckled my seatbelt and plugged in my earphones. I turned on my Florence and the Machine playlist, starting on Shake it off. I slid down into my seat and closed my eyes. before i knew it, i was fast asleep.

about an hour later (My playlist had returned to Shake it off again) Evie shook me awake. I saw we were about to land and i strapped my seatbelt back on. Once the plane had landed, we grabbed our carry ons and went to the baggage area where Evie's Aunt and Uncle were waiting. Her parents had decided not to come, but since we were all 19, it wasn't a problem. As Evie greated her aunt and uncle, i picked at the bare threads of my jean shorts, feeling extremly underdressed as her aunt was wearing a dress and her uncle was wearing a tailored suit. I was standing with my suitcase of comfortable clothes wearing a pair of Shorts, sneakers and a plain blue tee. Her aunt and uncle came over and introduced themselves. We went out to their car and headed to the house to get dressed for the reunion and then head over to the counrty club. As soon as we got to their fairly large house i started thinking that my cuffed jeans and blouse wouldn't cut it. My thoughts were confirmed when Evie's aunt said to dress nicely, Skirt and blouse or dress. We went up to the room we were sharing and i opened my suitcase.

"Oh Joy." I mumbled as i looked at my array of jeans, shorts, converse, sneakers, and t-shirts. I couldn't think of any other solution. I used  my element to make a short blue dress with sequins on the belt and straps. I grabbed it and my white flats, and headed to the bathroom. right before i closed the door, i saw Nat make an ice blue and white dress. The bottom with ice blue and stopped just right above her knees. The top was a continuation of the blue part of the dress with a white lace over it. Evie created a Dark blue dress that was the same length as mine and Nat's with short sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. I went in and changed. I heard Evie put on "Me and My girls" by Fifth Harmony. I came out and put on a pair of shorts under my dress, should things get awkward.

I went and got my make up, putting on very little, just to accent my eyes and lips. Evie curled my brown hair, which had grown to an almost chocolate brown over the years. Once she finished, my hair fell down my back in luscious curls. Once they finished, Evie put on a pair of Blue converse high tops and Nat put on a pair of light blue flats.

We walked downstairs and met Evie's Aunt and Uncle at the door.

"You all look beautiful!" Her Aunt, Donna, Exclaimed. She was wearing a red dress that accented her curves and made her dark hair stand out.

"Come on girls, the car is running." Her Uncle- Uh, Jack i believe, informed us. We walked out to the car and soon we were at Hacienda Golf Club . The girls and I helped bring in the Cake and Pies that Donna had made. Once inside, i saw about 30 people milling about, young and old. I noticed the small bar in the back and i walked over, the girls following me. Normally, Tessa would order a small cup of gin, even though she was way underage, Alex and Leia would get Champagne and i would get a dr.p, I'm a little to immature to drink. As soon as i got there, i saw that they only had achoholic beverages. I sat down and began to say "Can i get a doctor-" When a voice interuppted me.

"A Dr. pepper for the girl, put it on my tab." I rolled my eyes and was about to tell him off when i turned around  and saw a guy who looked familiar.

"And Who might you be?" i asked polietly, trying to conceal my annoyance.

"No-""

"NOAHHHH!!!!!" Evie screamed crashing into him. He laughed and said,"Evie!"

She grinned like the chesire cat "Is Percy here?!?!"

He laughed again and said "YEah, your cousin is over by the pool table with Angela. She grimiced and said

"ANGELA? Oh god i thought we left her back in Tallahasse!" I almost spewed out my Dr. pepper.

"Do i want to know, Eve?"

"Probably not." She replied. She ran off with Nat in search of her cousin.

"As i was saying, The name's Roony, Noah Roony." I swear I recognized his face. Where is he from?

I grinned and said "Sydney. Sydney Aether."

Tonight was going to be a fun night.

So i know this chapter is super short and i'm really sorry. Anyway's starting Highschool and Being on the Cross Country team, Sara's been really buzy, so i'm kinda filling in for her.....

She's going to hate me for giving her a love interest.....

Oh well. She can deal with it. Anyway, i'll try to update tomorrow too so yep See ya! Hope y'all like the chapter :-D
