On October 30, 2013, usually for others it was the day before Halloween but it was also the day before Andromeda Lennox's 18th birthday the most important day in every girl or boy's life in their family or any family similar to them, a family of wolves.

Her family lived a luxurious lifestyle but at the same time it was filled with pressure and controlled, at least that is what Andromeda felt, so on the night before her birthday she made the decision to leave, unable to absorb the news that her mother broke out to the family.

She would rather live a hard life on the streets or jump from motel to motel or in a small cramped house and free rather than live a life wherein everything is served to her on a silver platter but at the same time lives in a controlling manner.

"Hey, what are you pandering about?" Charlie asked her as she blinked her eyes and realized she had been staring out of the window "Oh, I was? I'm sorry, I didn't really notice." she answered awkwardly and she looked down at her cereal and began to eat again "Seriously though, what was going through your mind Dromeda?" Charlie pressed as she sat down across from her in their small table "Just about today," she answered vaguely

"If today is going to be any different." Andromeda added and Charlie took a gulp of her coffee before replying "It's because it's your birthday tomorrow isn't it?" she had a smile on her face "Yeah, because it's my birthday." she replied silently and smiled a little and Charlie stood up and pulled her in for a tight hug "Advanced happy birthday Dromeda, I'm glad Isaac and I met you and I wish that we'd continue being friends and maybe even roommates forever." she said happily and Andromeda's eyes teared up and hugged her tighter "I'm glad I met you guys too, now stop being so overly-sweet, you're making me cringe." she joked as she pulled away and wiped her teary eyes as she let out a giggle "You are fucking rude sometimes you know that." Andromeda smirked "You know I am."

As soon as Andromeda got inside the public library, out of nowhere Isaac jumped right in front of her "Jesus Christ! Isaac what the fuck?" she hit him on the chest and he grabbed her arms "Just wanted to surprise the birthday girl." he said in quite a defensive tone "It's not my birthday today Isaac, are you really my friend?" she joked as she took off her coat and started to check the returned books of they were still intact and free of vandalism

"I have been your friend for almost a year, you know, I know nothing about you. Is that what friends do?" he asked leaning down on the desk "You know my birthday, isn't that enough?" she replied while frowning in a mocking way "You are always so vague and mysterious," her whispered the mysterious part and she stood up from her seat to find the right place for the returned books and she was just about to open her mouth and Isaac cut her off

"But I know that you like to keep your life private so I'll wait for the time that you actually tell me." she smiled at him, Isaac was a great friend and because of him she met Charlie who is her current roommate and Isaac even got her a job with him because he found it funny when he saw this sweet and naive 19 year old girl who was practically begging for the job even though she had no experience from working in a library whatsoever and he promised his boss to keep her under his wing until she had finally learned and to his luck, the girl was a very fast learner.

To Charlie and him, Andromeda is the most mysterious girl that they have met, she never talks much when it comes to her life or her family or where she was from but they didn't press on because they know how irritable she gets but they love her.

Again, she was in deep thought as she tried to read as a form of distraction, it was October 3, 2016, 3 years since she'd turn her back on her family to get away from the pressure and the control that she endured since she turned into a teenager. The following months since she ran off were extremely chaotic, she could not stay in one town for a long time because her family had so much connections and it was always a close call when those people found out where she was. Months before her 19th birthday, it had died down, she was able to live in one place for a long period of time. It was hard, jumping from job to job every time she settled in a new town just to survive but all those difficulties and challenges changed her from a sweet, innocent, and naive girl and shaped her into a sardonic, mature, and resilient young woman that she is right now.
