The Pink Potion

"I think you're in over your head," Arden chuckled, watching Fred stir an unknown concoction in the cauldron in front of her. "You do realise how much trouble we'll be in if that Pink Gremlin finds us?"

Fred simply shrugged as he grinned into the cauldron, stirring away. "If that woman does come in, we can always make her the test subject," he chuckled.

"As a prefect I should probably be telling you off-"

"But instead you're being a wonderful sister from another mister," Fred teased, "and you're using your Potions expertise to help me with this... Stuff."

Arden frowned as she stared down in the neon pink liquid that was bubbling like mad. She knew that Fred wanted to make something that would cause something temporary to occur to the drinker. Arden gave Fred multiple suggestions including the drinker to fall in love briefly, break out in boils, dance non stop and so on. Fred however, liked all of those ideas, and combined every ingredient despite Arden's protest.

"Well you didn't really need my help since you just put everything in there," Arden said as she held back a chuckle. Suddenly, the two jumped in their places as they heard someone opening the classroom door. Arden's immediate reaction was to hide under the desk, while Fred stood in his place, owning up to getting in trouble as it was definitely not his first time being caught breaking rules.

"Guys, you need to- Arden are you under the table?" Ron laughed, leaning over slightly to try and see Arden's face. Arden crawled out from underneath the desk with bright red cheeks, dusting off her shirt and skirt as she stood up. "Anyway," Ron chuckled, "you two need to get to the Great Hall now, the Pink Gremlin has just introduced some more ridiculous rules."

Arden and Fred both sighed before quickly filling a vial with the potion, then following Ron to the Great Hall. Arden and Fred both stopped and looked up at probably the millionth 'Educational Decree' on the brick wall across from the Great Hall entrance. Arden felt her neck strain as she tried to look up. Fred looked down at her and snickered. He poked her forehead teasingly, causing her to lose her balance slightly.

She glared up at Fred, "hey!" She whined, although her mouth began to curve up slightly.

Fred smirked, "do you need a lift or something so you can see?" He teased further. Arden rolled her eyes and socked a decent punch in Fred's sternum, causing him to push on her forehead again since that was the only thing he could hit without bending slightly due to his tall stature.

Ron snapped at the two and pointed to the newly nailed Educational Decree. "She's recruiting bloody minions to do dirty work for her!" He spat as he read the board. Ron then turned his gaze over to the group of Slytherin boys, in which Draco was standing towards the front of, reading the new notice with a smirk on his face. "And guess who's probably going to be the bloody captain."
