18. Child Lock

Days had passed and it was now Thursday.

Jae and I hugged yesterday. And the day before. That made smile. And blush. And explode.

But guess what I'm doing today?

Telling my parents about Jae. About our relationship.

Although I almost guarantee they're ok with it, I cant help but feel nervous though.

I was sitting at the red-wood dining table tapping my fingers one after the other on the hard surface.

Mum and dad are supposed to be home in a few minutes.

The nervousness was building up inside of me.

Thinking about all the worst outcomes was something that I've always done.

For that reason I could feel tears start to form in my eyes.

Feet padded against the floor as I walked, trying to calm myself.

That's when I heard it.

The damned sound.

The sound of the front door unlatching.

Swinging open with a strong force the door revealed exactly what I had expected; my parents.

"H-hi mum and dad, how was your day?" I questioned timidly.

"Yeah it was ok sweetie. But are you ok? You sound a little off?" Mum asked caringly.

My dad's head turned to me waiting expectantly for an answer.

"W-well, there's, something important I need to tell you, both of you." I explain holding my hands in front of me nerously fiddling with them.

"Go on then," Mum and dad both say in unison, causing all of us to chuckle, me slighlty more awkwardly than everyone else.

"W-well I uh," I nervously stutter, stutter's better than nothing. Right?

"Oh come on spit it out, it can't be too bad." Dad says giving me a pat on the back.

Taking in a deep breath before the possible hell storm about to happen. "Jae is my boyfriend." I told them mustereing all of the confidence I had left in my body. Which was apprently more than I realised.

However, my head was directed straight back at the ground after my explanation.

"OH MY GOD I'M SO HAPPYYY!!" My mum squealed shaking her hands in front of her face "Oh our little girl is growing up." She squealed again, this time, squeezing my checks.

"I'm proud of you Y/n, but sometimes I think you're growing up to quickly. I think we need a child lock." Dad exclaimed chuckling at the last part.

"Yeah, we're going out on Saturday. I hope that's ok." I said once again slipping back into (A/n: the diamond life) my nervousness.

"Oh my god sweetie, of course it is." A wide grin adorning her slighlty withered features.

"Thank you so much, I love you both so much." I told them, pulling them in for a hug at tbe same time.

"When do I get to meet him? I know your mother already has." My dad questioned curiously.

"I suppose whenever he's comfortable." I said nodding afterward.

"Ok that's fine." Dad said contentment in his voice.

Thank you grandparents for such amazing parents.

Thank you Jae's parents for Jae.

That sounds creepy doesn't it?

Yeah it really does.

Oh well.

I'm just grateful for the people around me.

4. The only boyfriend ive had i was dared to ask out, then he was dared to say yes so he did say yes then my friend dared us to never break p.
