chapter ten: melissa pov

(Please note that its Mel talking not third person).

I had to leave, it was six and it was to late. Usually I leave by four, but I got to engrossed with him, I was to close to his body, his sweet comfy body, no no no snap out of it Mel, how come you are already falling for him, its too early, you can't be falling for him. Ow God am sure he hates me now, I didn't even say a proper good bye, what will he think of me, don't worry Mel, tomorrow will be a brand new day and I will make it up to him.

I was still on my way to the palace when I saw two palace guards,"oww shot". I immediately ran to a big tree and hid at the back of it. Can you imagine, they where talking to two girls, ow God am going to be here for a while because they had this silly flirty look on their faces which usually guards never put on and am pretty sure they where flirting with the girls. Oww they are so gonna hear it when I tell father. Wait I can't tell him, he will know I went out, nooooo, it would have been really sweet reporting. Anyway where was i, yeah, finally they are done with their foolishness and its time for me to head out.

Oww God my legs hurt. This sun isn't even pitiful, its too harsh, but its six why is the sun still shining, did something bad happen.....no stop thinking about superstitious things Mel, its not real, probably its because you left ken that's why the sun is angry. Is that even possible.

I finally reached the castle and there was no guard in sight, hewwww. It would be an easy sneak in too, as always I hope.

I finally entered the castle and every where was empty. Immediately I changed into my princess clothes in a lonely room down stairs, I really don't know what the room was really, I discovered it while sneaking out. Immediately I came out I saw five guards matching to their post which gave me a fright. " Good evening your highness", the guards said. "You scared me, Good evening to you too".

Immediately they left, I ran upstairs while laughing at my self.

I soon reached my room after a long walk in the castle, belief me its a big castle. Then I saw a maid, faith.

"My princess", faith said as she bowed her head down, she was looking pale and scared, like something bad happened. At first I thought she had discovered that I was sneaking out.

"Faith, whats wrong, why do you look this way", I said while closing my door.

"My princess, its justice", the maid said, still looking pale.

"What wrong with her".

Faith didn't answer me, she just stood there as tears ran down her eyes. On seeing the tears, I ran to justice room. Then after I opened her room, I saw her laying lifeless on her bed, she was dead.

Justice is my dog, a German Shepherd. She is black and small compared to normal shepherds, but either way I love her more than anything. I still remember when I was eleven and my dad got her for me, by then he was still the best dad ever. She was so small, I thought I would break her. She was black with little hint of white. She was my best friend.

I was shocked too see her dead, I played with her last week and she was pretty okay. I screamed at the sight of her and fell on the floor next to her. I touched her to wake her up but it was impossible, her body was stiff, it was already in form of a carcass. I flinched and threw up after feeling her stiff body, which gave me pain in my tommy. Valeria didn't cry because she was not a fan of dogs, she said they leave their furs everywhere which was unpleasant to her.

She left the room when she saw me crying, I guess she wanted me to have a me time with justice. I cried for an hour, then stopped when I realised that crying won't bring her back. Then I wiped my tears and just sat beside her, that was what my body instructed me to do. She was dead and there was nothing I could do.

Immediately after we buried her in the garden next to the swing, I went straight to my room, laid on my bed and started crying once again when I remembered all the memories we had. She was really precious to me. Once she got pregnant when princess merribel came over to the castle with her male dog for a sleep over, by then she wasn't married yet. I helped her to give birth to her three puppies. I know we had maids and guards who could do that, but I did not trust Anyone with her, she was really dear to me. I miss her so much and I don't think I would sneak out for sometime.

A/N hi guys, I really love this chapter because it so dear to me. I dedicate this chapter to my dog justice, who died November 11. I really miss her so much. She died after falling sick for a week. She had up to 30 puppies on earth before she died, some must be dead by now I don't really know. She was an obedient dog. RIP my lovely dog...kisses.
