chapter seventeen: Downfall

Hi guys..so i changed the name of my book and the cover..hope u guys like it.

Javin took Val to the place he hid the queen and instructed them to stay put.

"No please javen don't go in", Val pleaded.

"Val I need to, most of the guards have Been killed and the maids are scared and some are probably dead, don't come out until you see me", javin instructed again.

"No please", afterwards Val gave him a big hug, the hug lasted for quite a while and the queen was not happy with this. Javin broke the moment when he heard a voice asking for the king. But before he left he gave Val a kiss...on her forehead.

"I said where is the man that calls himself your king", the head of the invaders said. "No response, am I talking to deaf people". He had the maids, guards and other servants of the palace tied up.

"It seems I am talking to deaf people", he immediately walked straight to the palace guard sliced off his ears, picked him up and screamed "Where.. .is...your...kiiiing".

"Where the king is, is not of your business"....

"Who said that. Peak, I thought u said there was no one left alive but the ones here?", he asked one of his men.

"Yes sir", he said.

"Ow..then he must have thought wrong",....

"Who the hell are you and where is your king", he requested.

"Like I said, it's none of your business", ...

"Well I think it is because I wouldn't be here if it wasn't now would i".

"I see you are a porknoser, it doesn't fit you..doesnt look like it's your style you know. A wise man once said, cut your coat according to your size. It pretty much refers to your situation my good man", javin was trying to annoy him..and it worked.

"Finish him".

Peak jacked up his sword and raced towards the stairs to kill javin but before he could even get to javen he tripped and fell on his sword which made blood splash out of his stomach.

"IMBECILE", the leader screamed. "Jamie, attack him". Jamie, one of the invaders also dashed towards javin with full force but was strucked down by one of the golden chandelier. "That's imposible", the leader altered, meanwhile javin was shocked by what was going on..he had nothing to do with it. (Fierce anger Scream) "mino, bash, angre attack this idiot".

They did the same as peak and Jamie did and they all ended badly...mino chocked on his drink on the way to slaughter javin, bash stopped to help mino but was mistakenly stabbed by angre in the process of turning back and angre just stood still. He didn't move because he knew the death going on around him was more than just a mere coincidence. "Move you rat, attack him I say", the leader yelled. "Nooo..oo..ooo..nnn.oo", angre stammered.

"I have to do everything myself", he took the sword from angre and decided to kill javin by himself instead he flinged the sword and in shock his hands went up to his head by themselves and twisted his neck. It made a sharp crack sound like the sound on a walnut when cracked open, and death came faster than bolt.

Javin stood on the same spot he was when he first entered the room with shock dancing on his face. He knew what just happened was not ordinary. With the leader dead the rest of the army were powerless and they ran for their lives but where immediately arrested by the new recruited guards sent by the nearby kingdom to help the palace.

Javin turned to go back to Val and freya to announce the funny news and on his way he saw faith(the maid who was betrothed to tashiva). She looked pale and weak like she had just lifted a huge weight, her eyes where white and her lips pale with blood dripping out of her nose. Immediately she saw javin her eyes became shut and she fell on his arms and the only thing she could hear was her name coming out of javens mouth faintly before she passed out.

"Faith..faith" javin called out her name when he saw her eyes opening. She was already lying on the bed with ice on her head. "Where am i", she altered.

"you are safe now, you passed out on my arms earlier after the invaders where caught...are you alright", javin asked, but she didn't respond. " i know you are in shock right now but, I need to ask you something. I saw your eyes before u passed out, they where white, do you have anything to do with the incident that happened".

"I...iii...iii........"

"Master javen the king demands for your presence", the guard interrupted and left immediately.

"This discussion is not over, rest now answer later, I must go now". He immediately left the room and closed the door behind him, leaving faith to deal with her problems.

"My king" javen prostrated. "You called".

"Yes I did, I wanted to thank you for protecting the castle and my family. I don't know what I will ever do without you by my side. The quards and maids told me of your bravery and how you stood up for them. You shall be rewarded with honours and a new title to your name", the king said.

"Thank you my king it is an ho.....", the palace door opens, low and behold it was Mel, princess Melissa.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the prodigal daughter", the king stands from his throne.

"Father, you are home early", Mel talked with fear.

"I see you have new clothes on now, could have fooled me", the king said.

"What are you talking about father", Mel asked.

"You know earlier on I saw someone like you with a puppers cloth, do you know anything about that".

"No I dont know what you are talking about father".

"Do you know what happened in the palace today".

"Yes, mmm the palace received a honorary gift from the house of lords".

"Really now. Mm, javen what happened at the palace today".

"The palace was invaded and we lost some of our men and maids". Javen said.

The king turned again towards Mel and this time he was really close to her and he had despair written all over his face. "Am so sorry fath........ahhhhhh". The king gave Mel a thorough slap that echoed loudly in the palace. "How dare you disrespect me. Take her to the cell...think of what you've done".

There was silence for a moment as the guards took Mel to the cell, no one was smiling but davina. Queen freya and Val held each other and weaped silently because there was nothing they could do.

"From now on javen, call me father, it seems my children are now imbeciles", the king said and walked angrily to his chambers as five guards followed suite.
