Chapter thirteen: coincidence.

MEANWHILE IN THE TRADE FARE.

"they are pirates?", Ken asked.

"Yes they are", ticki replied, still in a sad state.

"How come you didn't tell me all this while?", Ken asked again.

"Well I thought you knew, because clearly there is a captain before his name and a ship too. How come you didn't know?", ticki asked.

"Well I thought he was some kind of recruited army officer or something", Ken replied, still seated on the floor shaving a wood to look like a spear. This days that's what he does to stop thinking of Mel. Shaving woods, poor woods. Poor Ken.

"A recruited army officer? With a pirate hat, really now?", ticki questioned.

" ofcourse, it maybe their new uniform. Because for all I know we killed all the pirates, pirates are now extinct", ken said, with a voice like he was debating and his life depended on it.

"Yes but.......wait a minute. What do you mean by we killed the pirates", ticki asked. This made Ken stop shaving his wood. He did not realized he had said we.

"Did I say we? (Chuckle ) What i meant was, we as in the whole kingdom, I refer to the people that killed them as we. You know, because we are one", Ken replied. He spoke like he was on a hot seat. But technically he was.

"Really, that's true", ticki said after believing Ken. His statement made Ken relaxed and then he proceeded with his wood shaving.

MEANWHILE AT THE CASTLE.

Davina, after seeing what had happened ran to javins room to talk with him.

"Javin", davina said, badging into javins room without even knocking. Disrupting what javin was doing.

"MOTHER?", javin shouted in surprise. He was flirting with one of the maid in his room. She came to give him tea, but was caught up with his flirtiness.

"We need to talk. Get out maid", davina said, pushing out the maid with force.

"Mother don't you see am busy, why are you pushing her out", javin said while seated on his bed.

" we have more problems more than that, you could call her back later, I don't care", davina said, while pacing up and down with one of her fingers in her mouth and her left hand folded underneath her right hand.

"(Inhale and exhale). What is it again mother", javin said, still seated on his bed.

"There is fire on the mountain javin", she said, still pacing up and down with fear in her voice.

"None of the guards told me there was a fire on the mounting neither have I seen one", javin said, obviously trying to chase his mother out.

"No you don't understand.......my ritual isn't working anymore. It's getting weak", davina said, this time facing javin and demonstrating frantically.

"And this concerns me how?", this time he arched one of his eye brows.

"This concerns you because you are my son and we are in this together", davina said, bending down slowly and touching his hair.

"No I don't think so", javins said, standing up and walked straight to where his jacket was. Pushing his mother in the process.

"What do you mean by no?", davina asked standing up swiftly from the ground.

"You started it. Finish it", he said while buttoning his cloth.

Davina just stood without talking, with fear in her eyes.

"Look mother am tired of failing plans, my body soul and spirit is tired of waiting. So I will just enjoy this marvelous castle before we are caught. Now please leave my room mother, I need peace and quite". He then opened the door for her to leave.

"You are pushing your mother out of your room. I will not leave. We need to talk and bring up solutions", davina said, sitting on the bed and standing on her ground.

"Okay. Then I'll leave. By mother".

"Jav.....", she couldn't finish her sentence when javin slambed the door and cut her off.

Javin was fed up with his mum's plans, usually he would concore with her ideas, but recently he became tired of waiting.

He walked straight through the corridors of the castle, moving from one balcony to another. He got tired then rested on one of the balcony. After resting for a while, his ears caught up melodious sounds, but he didn't know where it was coming from.

He walked in search of the source of the melodious sound. He climb the stairs leading to the library and stopped , realizing that the library was meant to be quiet not used as a music class, the thought made him laugh at himself. He walked back down the stairs pacing around like a small child. Then he turned to a direction where he started hearing the sound fluently. The more he increased his steps towards the direction, the more the sound became clear.

Then finally he saw where the sound was coming from, he push the door open, he didn't know why he was saw drawn to the music, but by the time he opened the door he knew why, it was Valeria. They both stopped what they where doing and stared at each other.

"Your Grace am sorry, but I don't seem to find princess valeria", the maid said, bowing down her head to show respect even though she was older than princess Melissa.

"You are sure you search everywhere", Mel asked.

"Yes your grace, please forgive me for not being able to find her", the maid pleaded.

"Nonsense, you talk nonsense eve. Now get up, am not angry, okay. I will look for her my self, now run along", Mel replied.

"Yes your grace", the maid then bowed again and left her room. Mel was not wicked or anything, she was just not as nice as Val was. She didn't take trash and didn't always smile like Val did. That's why the maids fear her more than Val.

Meanwhile.

"Ken please we need to get out of here", ticki pleaded.

"No way, there is no way am leaving those people to suffer in the hands of those pirates....i need to do something about it", Ken said, standing up immediately to approach the pirates, then he was stopped by ticki.

"No you can't, they'll kill you", ticki said.

"Not if I kill them first. Look they are maltreating those poor people, we need to help them", Ken pleaded.

"Those pirates won't do anything as long as they don't see me there, they won't harm them I promise". After hearing what ticki said, Ken turned around and scratched his head like a mad man. He really wanted to help, but he also wanted to protect ticki too. He then stop.

"So what should we do?", ken asked.

"Right now we need to go back, rest and think. We can't take any risky actions right now", ticki replied.

"Oww common", Ken whined like a baby.

"Shhh, stop yelling", ticki said, then for a moment there was silence before ticki realised. "Owwwww", ticki said immediately.

"You just had to remind me didn't you?", Ken asked. "Fine let's go, but if anyone should get hurt, you will suffer for it", he said.

And they both sneaked out of the trade fare the same way they sneaked In.
