“When a teen has a child a chapter in your life will end, but

an even more amazing chapter will begin.”

A few days later I was up at 5:30 AM with Zeke. I had been told I was lucky because my baby isn’t colicky but if he was I would love him anyways. The good thing is, is that we’re both up early so waking up early to take care of him isn’t a big deal to me. The morning went by fast soon the house started to wake up. Around 10 AM I was sitting on the floor playing with Zeke when I got a phone call. The caller ID read mom without any hesitation at all I answered the phone.

            “Hello?” I asked.

“Will you meet me at Starbucks around one PM?” she questioned.

            “Of course.” I replied happily.

“Goodbye.” Was the last thing I heard her say before I heard the line click dead, not giving me enough time to reply.

Around 12:30 PM I had Zeke in his little baby stroller dressed accordingly for the weather, and we were going to down the sidewalk in the direction of Starbucks. People gave me funny looks as I passed by but I just brushed them off with a smile I was having a good day and no one was going to ruin it. I was kind of concerned about seeing my mom though I hadn’t see her in a very long time and the last time I saw her she looked as though she never wanted to see me again. If looks could kill I would have died that day. I walked around the corner and slowly the coffee shop became visible. I walked through the front door seeing as my mom wasn’t here yet I went ahead and ordered myself some coffee. I found a place to sit and sat there talking to Zeke. He smiled up at me his baby blues shinning, he had pulled off his green hat and was waving it in the air. I heard someone walk up and sit down and I looked up to see my mom smiling down at Zeke.

“Hi mom,” I whispered, “do you want to hold him?”  She looked at me her eyes happy and smiling she nodded her head ecstatically. I smiled and picked up Zeke out of his stroller, I handed him to my mom and she took him gently smiling down at him. “Zeke Len Sinclair.” I said looking at her.

“He’s beautiful.” she grinned holding him close. “I came here to talk to you and tell you that I’m sorry. I should have believed you but I didn’t and I was stupid. I later talked to Seth about it and he didn’t deny it. I want you to come home. I miss you.” Silent tears falling freely down her face.

“I miss you too.” I whispered getting up and gathering my mother and my baby Zeke into a big hug.

I walked back into my house for the first time since I had left. Rose, Eli and, my mother had moved all of my stuff back. I smiled as happy memories came flooding my mind. I loitered through the corridors and up the stairs. I got up the stairs and my mom was standing outside of the guestroom beckoning me. She ushered me inside and I could help but gasp she had turned the guest room into a beautiful nursery. The ceiling was painted blue with while clouds scattered about. The walls were also painted blue. Everything needed for a baby was in the room and in the perfect spot to, everything looked perfect except one thing was missing I looked down at my sleeping angle and walked over the crib and placed him inside softly. I stepped back and smiled now everything was perfect. I looked over at my mom my eyes filling with tears and went over to her.

“I love you.” I whispered wrapping her into a big hug.

“I love you too.” She said and I let tears of joy fall freely down my face. My life was once again whole. It may be different but everything changed for the better. Seth was gone and it was just my mom, Zeke and, I in the house, it was perfect.
