Your POV

I got out of there slowly, well slow for me. For time, it was only a few minutes. I couldn't remember where I was, I was just so tired. So tired.

I closed my eyes and almost fell asleep, when a voice jolted me awake.

"Two, get up. They're coming for you."

I couldn't move, but I needed the strength somewhere to get out of this place. Papa had spoken to us about the outside world, though not enough to tempt us to escape. Though, me escaping wasn't to get into the real world, but to get out of the hell that had risen once she, my sister had been murdered.

I couldn't believe she was gone. Why? My only link to any joy in my life, I missed her so much... But I couldn't save her. I couldn't get to her, and even if I did I didn't have enough strength to bring her back to life.

"Two... Get up. GET UP" The voice screamed. It sounded like a young girl, but she wasn't frantic, more persistent in helping me. I stood up, swaying and ran to the forest. I ran past a sign saying "Leaving Michigan" But that was all I could read.

I got off the road and used my last ounce of energy to slow time. I waited for a mode of transport, wondering if I could possibly ask for help to drive somewhere. Anywhere but here.

"Who are you?" I thought.

"Eleven." And I smiled, at least one person in this world wanted to help me.

"Where are you?... Who are you?"

"Eleven, I'm in Hawkins, Indiana." I felt a strong, strange pull to join Eleven, she was the only person I knew after all.

"Eleven, are you like me?" Maybe that was her power, to speak to people and control their minds?

I shivered at the thought, but quickly dismissed my fear of trusting her. What other choice did I have?

"Yes. But I came from the lab in Hawkins." That surprised me. Were there many more labs I didn't know about? How many other children had powers like me?

"And you're not there now?"

"No... some things happened last year. And recently... But I am with some friends now, and a... family"

I frowned at that thought. I had yet to grieve about my sister. Other than she, I didn't know of any other family. I wasn't taken at birth, but what little memories I had of my family were long gone.

"That sounds nice" I didn't want to think about how she escaped the lab. It was bad enough dealing with myself right now.

She didn't reply, but I could almost feel her contentment that she had found people who she loved, and loved her back.

I waited for what seemed an hour before a large vehicle drove past, I slowed time right down and the driver looked confused at why he had seemed to slow to a stop near me.

I blinked for a couple of seconds, deciphering if this man was to be trusted. But I found myself walking up to him and asking "Can you please take me to Hawkins, Indiana?"

I felt Eleven smiling, and I smiled to the man, hoping he was heading that way anyway. I had found a way to control the movement of plants and movement of animals, but not yet humans.

The man seemed to want to ask who I was, or what the hell I was doing alone without any parents, dressed in lab clothes and looking lost, however he gruffly replied "Yeah kid... sure thing, I'm heading up there anyway".

I thanked him and mentally thanked Eleven, before climbing into the front seat.
"It's going to be a few hours 'till we get there" the man said.

"I'm Joshua, and you are?"

I thought for a moment. Should I tell him the truth or make up a fake identity, now that I was out of the lab.

"My name is Y/N".

"Y/N, alright. Well, get comfortable, and uh... did you have any certain place you wanted to be dropped off?"

I heard Eleven mentally reassure me that she'd find me when I was close enough, so I just told the man I'd let him know when we were in Hawkins.

"Alrighty then" And with that, I closed my eyes and thought about just what I had gotten myself into. I knew not everyone on the outside would be as nice, or as... forgiving.
