The test was long and boring and hard, but at least it's over. I could finally go home and relax for the next two months.
"Bye Calum, I'll see you later," I said as I walk across the burning parking lot to my car.
"Bye," he smiled, "and try not to hit anyone this time."
"Yeah, yeah, I won't."
"Text me when you want to hang out."
"I will Cal, love ya." Calum and I have that best friend kind of relationship. Luke gets jealous when I talk to him like that. He will never admit it, but I see it in his eyes whenever I say that to Calum when he's around. But he knows I don't mean it in the same way when I say it him.
When I open the car door a wave of heat hits me. I always forget how hot it gets in Florida during the summer. I turn on the air conditioner to let the car cool off while I place everything that I took out of my locker in the back seats.
When the burning leather of my seat touches my bare legs I flinch, the car is overwhelmingly hot and sticky. Even pulling my seat belt over my body was a struggle because of the metal on it. Now that I can safely drive home I leave my school for the last time as a junior.
I go home with Arctic Monkeys and Walk the Moon blasting on the radio, which made it feel like summer in an instant. I pulled into my neighborhood and from the end of the street, and saw Luke's car parked in front of my house. Neither of my parents where home which means that Luke used the spare key I gave him to get inside.
I grabbed my things out of the car and head straight to the living room.
"Luke? Where are you?" I sat my objects from my locker down to see if he went in the kitchen.
I filled up a glass of water for myself when I felt a pair of arms wrap around my hips pulling me into an embrace. I placed my cup on the counter then turned around to properly return Luke's hug, leaning my head on his chest.
"Hey Sky." He say kissing my forehead. He towers over me which makes this kind gesture a simple task. I looked up to see his gorgeous eyes staring back at me. I take in all his features, all the little things that I haven't been able to see for the past week. His blonde messy hair which manages to stay up without any products, I love it like that. The way he smiles at me, his cheek bones, his lip ring, his everything. I leaned my head against his chest again and he put his chin on my head while dragging his hands up and down my back.
"Hey Luke." I finally said. We stayed like that for a while. I love Lukes hugs, It may sound stupid but I love the way his body feels against mine. I could stay in one of his warm hugs forever.
"So, how was your exam?" he asks, untangling our bodies to take a seat on the counter.
"It was so hard, I probably failed."
"You didn't fail you're smart," he assures me.
"So what do you wanna do now that it's officially summer?" I say changing the subject. I don't wanna talk about school, I'm just glad it's over. I'll worry about my grades when my report card comes in the mail.
"Anything, I really don't care. We could just drive for all I know, lets just go somewhere."
"Okay, I'm just gonna go change then we can leave." I walk towards the stairs.
"Hey Sky," he said, slightly blushing "can I come with?"
"No!" I laughed, "I'm just gonna change I'll be right back. God you're such a boy."
I went into my room and change into something a little nicer. I decide on wearing a my high-wasted jeans with this batman crop top I got from Forever 21, and I put my hair half up half down because it was extra wavy from my braid I had all day.
