Chapter 6

Walking in school hallway early in the morning is such a hard job, not only for me though it looks like everyone is dragging their feet to their respective classes.
When will this year end?
I saw Isabella waiting for me at my locker , Vinny is also there and they are in deep conversation, probably Isabella is still hyping about Jayson's IG post.
Last night she went crazy after that asking me continuously why he posted that, asking me if he found a girlfriend or what? Like how would I know, I barely know the guy but her inner gossiper wasn't letting her sleep and she wasn't letting us sleep.
"Hey Guys". I greeted them. They both looked at me and greeted me.
"Heyy Nisha, you know I still couldn't find out about Jayson's post".
Vienna rolled her eyes at her " Cmon Isabella give your inner gossiper some rest, it's okay".
"Vinny is right, leave it".
Isabella sighed but agreed with us then we all went to our respective classes.
My first class on Thursday morning is physics and I hate physics!
I went to the last row and sat at the second last seat because last was already taken I saw someone's bag there. Few minutes later I heard someone calling my name and I saw Trevor walking with one of the boys towards me.
"Hey Trevor". I greeted him
"Nishaaa, you are in my physics class too yes! And also this is Liam my friend".
I nodded towards him and smiled and they sat behind me, apparently that bag was of someone else but Trevor wanted to sit behind me so he kept the bag at some other place. Poor kid was too afraid to ask him to move so he just went to sit somewhere else.
Trevor isn't scary, maybe he was scared of Liam.
Soon after our teacher entered and he started the lecture, Trevor and Liam were joking around making me laugh once in a while because let's be honest Trevor is hell a lot of funny.
I didn't expected Liam to be funny too, he seemed like a serious kind of guy but looks can be deceiving.
They both kept on asking me questions about physics numericals which our teacher gave and I helped them.
"I am telling you Liam, something is wrong with Jayson, I think he cracked his skull or something because he's been smiling to himself since yesterday". Trevor spoke sometime later to Liam. I couldn't help but listen to their conversation.
"Lol Trev, give him a break, he must be happy about something".
"Then why isn't he telling us".
"Don't worry we'll make that bastard speak".
Jayson is so strange. I wonder what's going on in that stupid brain of his.

Lunch came quickly, two periods of physics was too much but biology was okay Vinny and Isabella are with me in that, Wali is also there but he didn't come to class, I wonder why.
I went to lunch and saw Jayson and gang heading towards lunch and Jayson is oddly looking very happy, Trevor is right he may have hit his head somewhere.
I went to sit with Vinny and Isabella, they reached their first as I had to stop by my locker.
"Did you see him, he's so happy and he's been talking to everyone today". Isabella said as soon as I sat on the chair.
"Isabella from now onwards I am going to call you Bella your name is tooo long". I said completely ignoring the fact that she again talked about Jayson.
"Okay Nisha you can call me whatever you want". She laughed
I looked over to the bad boy gang and damn! I quickly looked away as Jayson was already looking at me. Creep.
Few seconds later I looked up again and at the same time Jayson looked at my direction, dammit again got caught.
I am not going to look again, but my curiousity got me looking there again after few minutes and again at the same time he looked at me and this time he gave me a cheeky smile full on showing his teeth.
This is so embarrassing and....funny. I tried hard not to smile.
"What's wrong with you"? Vinny asked.
"Nothing". I brushed her off
Later Stacy came to sit with the boys again and this time Jayson said nothing just smiled at everything happening around him.
Now I am 100% sure Trevor was right.
Sometime later I looked over at their table and saw that Stacy is talking to Jayson but he's hardly paying attention because he is busy staring at our table precisely at me, Stacy realised Jayson is not looking at her but somewhere else and her gaze landed at me, I quickly looked away. I don't want any misunderstandings, Stacy is very childish.
The bell was about to go off so we picked up our things and headed to our classes.
As soon as I was about to go out I heard my name being called I turned around and saw it was Jayson.
I swear I heard Bella gasp behind me.
He ran towards me and I waited for him, behind him Stacy was giving me death glare from the table and all the boys were looking at me with amusement.
What is this Jayson trying to do?
"Hey". He greeted
"Yea"? I asked him
"Is that how you greet someone"? He asked, clearly amused by all this.
"What do you want Jayson"? I asked him.
"Nothing, we have History next Period so let's walk to class together".
Am I dreaming, is he asking to walk to class. together?
He didn't wait for me to reply and started Leaving me behind so that I can catch up with him.
Vinny and Bella gave me thumbs up, I rolled my eyes at them, they laughed and walked away.
I stayed at my place when Jayson realised that I am not walking with him he turned around and waited for me to join him.
Uhhhh
I walked over to him and asked "why do you think I am going to walk to class with you?"
I stopped walking and waited for him to answer.
"Oh cmon Neesh, don't be like that". And with that he put his arm around my shoulder and started walking making me walk with him.
Shivers ran behind my back as soon as his hand touched my shoulder.
I ignored that feeling and again stopped walking making him stop too,
"Now what Neesh"?
"Trevor is also in History with you, why aren't you walking with him? ". I questioned him raising my one eyebrow for dramatic effects.
"Oh my God, you ask too many questions.
Trevor isn't coming anytime soon he takes his time to go to class after lunch, he gets lazy after eating."
"Excuse me, I'll rather walk alone". I started walking faster.
I heard him laugh, I turned around to face him, he looks so cute!!
What is wrong with me?
he walked towards me
"Okay then, don't walk with me, I'll walk with you."
What the hell. I realised he isn't going to listen leaving me with only option and that's to walk with him.

History used to be my favourite subject until Jayson decided to sit with me. He's so annoying and since Trevor is sitting in front of us they both just don't stop messing around, they also don't study and doesn't even let me study and since Jayson is in good mood he's been replying to every girl who is talking to him in class, but I don't care.

Jayson either keeps calling my name and when I look at him he smiles and tells Trevor to look at me because apparently my angry look is amusing to him. Bastard.

The bell went off and I smiled thinking I'll get rid of Jayson when he suddenly came closer to me his breath fanning my ear and whispered  " don't get too happy, we have the next class together too."
Damn. It's algebra!

I went out of class when Jayson yelled "wait for me". Everyone's looking at us now, I didn't pay attention to him kept walking but I forgot he's in schools soccer team he quickly caught up with me and we again went to class together.

Algebra went by quick because Mr Goenka gave us a review test, the grades weren't going to be reported but it still mattered. I kept myself busy by doing the sums and Jayson without feeling guilty, happily copied my answers. I didn't payed attention to him because Stacy is also in this class and she's been looking only at us this entire time. I am already on her hit list because Jayson refused to sit with her instead came and sit with me.
I even told him to go find another seat and he cheekily replied found it and sat beside me.
I handed my paper to Mr Goenka and left the class, Jayson struggled to come after me and he did,
"You want me to run after you like that always huh? Why don't you wait for me?" Jayson asked
"I never asked you to run after me and you didn't tell me to wait".
"Oh! So if I say wait for me next time, you'll wait?"
"No".
"See Neesh, you are running away from me", I don't bite just so you know".
I stopped and turned to look at him,
"I am running away from no one okay, and what's Neesh?". I asked frustrated, he's been calling me that since yesterday.
"Oh that's your name". He smiled
"But my na-".
"Your nickname silly". He cut me off
"Nickname? For me? Why?" I asked genuinely shocked.
He came closer to me " because my friend, it looks cute on you." With that he tapped my nose turned around and walked away smiling.
Realising he just shushed me up second time in two days the only thing I came up for him to say was
"I am not your friend". I yelled at him from the back.
I heard him laugh, without stopping and turning away he called out

"Sure you are not".

And I couldn't help but smile.
