This is not an ordinary story. This is a story about me, Emma. I had everything I needed. I had great friends, a nice new home, a family that loved me, and a loving boyfriend. But all of that changed when something terrible happened.

I woke up that morning as happy as can be. I was moved into my new home. It was a nice red house with a two car garage. It had 4 fairly big bedrooms, two very nice bathrooms, a very good sized kitchen, and it had a fence in the back yard.

I went to grab my phone to see if I had any good morning texts from my very lovable boyfriend Tanner. He was one year older than me and loved to play baseball. He was also taller than me by about a foot, he had blonde hair and brown eyes, and was very strong. His personality was amazing! He loved to cook and he was super smart, he also loved little kids!

I grabbed my phone and unlocked it. 'No new messages', the phone read. I was a little worried at the time, but I figured that he must not have been awake yet. I mean it was only like 9:30 in the morning.

I went to take a shower, fixed my blonde hair up into a pony tail and than headed downstairs to eat breakfast.--Oh, by the way my room is in a little private area through the laundry room and up a set of stairs. It is awesome!-- As soon as I was in the kitchen the smell of pancakes hit my nose. I remembered it was Sunday, pancake day. My family always loved to make pancakes on Sundays. We rarely went to church, but we all believed in God. Each family member in the house had a bible in their room. That way they could read it if they wanted.

"Morning sleepy head!", my Dad said as I walked into the kitchen.

"Morning.", I said sounding still a little sleepy.

"How did you sleep?", my Mom asked.

"Really good! I was really tired from carrying so much stuff yesterday.", I answered.

"Well, I am glad to see you're well rested.", my Mom said.

I walked into the family room to find my younger brother Ethan playing video games on the T.V. My family only had an Xbox, PlayStation 3, and a Wii. We didn't like cable that much. We could watch movies off of Netflix or Amazon. The game Ethan was playing this morning was Black Ops 2. He had a lot of video games. Like Call of Duty, Skyrim, BioShock, and Rainbow Six Vegas. I played Skyrim and Rainbow Six Vegas sometimes, and sometimes he would ask me if I could play Black Ops 2 with him.

"Good morning Mr.Gameboy.", I said to Ethan. Mr.Gameboy was my nickname for him, because he was always playing video games -- on weekends, my parents wouldn't let him have games on weekdays when there was school.

"Morning.", Ethan said back.

I went and layed down on the couch and went on my phone. 'I wonder why Tanner hasn't texted me yet', I thought to myself. --The only problem is that when I was sitting there on the couch waiting for a text, I did not know that my boyfriend had been going to get something special for me, but that will come later so let's keep going into the story. -- I played Hay Day on my phone until the pancakes were done.

"Pancakes are ready!", my Dad said from the kitchen.

Everyone headed to the dinning room as quickly as possible because everyone loved having pancakes. We all sat down and prayed and than everyone was given two pancakes.

"So has Tanner talked to you today yet?", my Mom asked me.

"No. Not yet. Why?", I asked.

"Well, I figured since it was your one year anniversary he would have texted you a long good morning text.", my Mom said back.

Oh Crap!! I had totally forgotten that it was our anniversary. "Oh, yeah. Hmmmm.......well maybe his family decided to do something and he left his phone at home or something.", I said.

"Probably. Just don't let it worry you.", my Mom said.

"I won't.", I said back. But inside I was a little anxious. I want to know why he wasn't calling or texting me yet. I mean it was already 11:30.

By the time it was 1:30 I received a text from Tanner saying, "Hey Em! Sorry we haven't talked all day. My family decided to go to church this morning and I left my phone at home charging. Oh! I almost forgot! We are going to go out tonight. Just you and me! I mean it is our 1 year anniversary. Wear something casual but comfy. I'll pick you up at 6. Love you!"

I smiled as I read the text. He remembered it was our anniversary! The only problem I had was I hadn't gotten him anything yet! I had to think of something fast! 'Let's see. What does he like?', I thought to myself, 'Well, he likes baseball, and he likes to cook.' I couldn't think of anything to get him. Then it hit me. In the small little town in Florida were I lived, there was a little shop called Jeanie's Antique's at the corner of a street downtown --I still can't remember the name of that street-- and I would always go there with my mom as a young girl. Than I remembered seeing a signed baseball in the store a few days earlier. So, I drove down to the store to see if they still had that ball.

"Why hello Emma! Why are you in here today?", said the lady behind the desk at Jeanie's.

"Hi Jeanie! I actually came here to see if you still had that signed baseball I saw in here earlier.", I said back.

"Actually, yeah I think we do still have that ball.", Jeanie said, "Let me go check in the back." Then Jeanie slipped through a door heading to the back of the shop.

I looked around for the few minutes when Jeanie was back looking for the baseball. I saw some old dolls, and old little pirate ships you see in movies.

"Yep! I found it!", I heard Jeanie say as she came back out front.

"Awesome! How much do you want for it?", I asked.

"Well, what's the occasion?", Jeanie asked.

"It's my boyfriend's and my one year anniversary today, and he loves baseball so I thought I would get him that.", I said pointing to the baseball.

"Well, here ya go than Emma. Its yours, you don't have to pay for it. I have known you for a long time and I need to give you something anyways.", Jeanie said handing me the ball.

"Are you sure?", I asked.

"Yes! I am sure. Now what is he doing for you?", Jeanie said.

"Well, I know we are going out at 6 tonight, but I'm not sure were.", I said back.

"Awe. You two are so perfect. He treats you so good.", Jeanie said smiling widely.

"Haha! Thanks! Well, I should probably go. I have to go get ready for my date.", I said smiling wide.

"Yes, well have a good time Emma! Tell me later how it goes!", Jeanie said as I walked out the door.

"I will!", I yelled as the door closed behind me.

Jeanie was always like an aunt to me. I had been over to her house with my mom a lot when I was little. She always made chocolate chip cookies before we came. She looked like she was related to us too. She had the blonde hair and the height, but had bright green eyes. I will always see her as my aunt even though she isn't.

I got home around 3:45 and ran upstairs to shower. It was going to be an interesting night.
