Finn's POV
"Hey guys," Jack's mom said greeting us as we walked into his house. "Uhh, what happened to you honey." She was addressing Jack after seeing his bruised eye.
"Nothing. I just fell. It's fine," he said quickly walking up the stairs to his room. I followed closely behind.
The entire walk back to the house after the incident was sort of awkward. We didn't talk much, but I made sure to hold onto Jack's hand the entire time. I could tell he was still shaken up. I just don't want him to ever feel hopeless or worthless.
When we walked into his room he collapsed onto his bed closing his eyes. I stared at him for a moment and then went to join him wrapping my arms around his small, fragile frame. After what felt like an eternity Jack finally spoke up.
"Thank you so much Finn."
"For what, baby?"
"For always being there for me and never letting me go. I love you more than anything. I don't know what I would do without you." I didn't know what to say so I kissed him passionately, trying to preserve this moment for as long as possible.
6:00 PM that evening
Jack and I had fallen asleep cuddling when his mom walked in after knocking on the door.
"Boys. You don't want to be late for your date," she said as Jack and I slowly sat up trying to come back to reality.
"Thanks mom," Jack responded as his mom returned a smile.
The two of us got out of Jack's bed groggily and proceeded to get ready. I had brought over a light blue button-up and some tan khakis while Jack sported a cute leather jacket and white jeans with a grey beanie. After we finished dressing we headed down the stairs to say goodbye to his mom. We were going to take an Uber since the restaurant was too far to walk to.
"Have fun you guys, and be careful," Mrs. Grazer told us as we walked out the door.
"We will mom. See you later," Jack replied before shutting the door behind us.
We walked to the Uber and greeted our driver as we sat in the back seat. Jack laid his head on my shoulder as soon as we sat down. It was going to be about a fifteen minute drive. I figured I'd text my mom and let her know when I'd get home.
Conversation with MamaWolfhard
Me: Hey mom. Jack and I are on our way to the restaurant for our date. I'll see later.
MamaWolfhard: Okay, sweetie. Have fun and be safe.
Me: We will.
MamaWolfhard: Oh, and Finn.
Me: Yes mom...?
MamaWolfhard: Don't let Jack go. He's a good one.
Me: I would never! I love him. He is the best thing to ever come into my life.
MamaWolfhard: Good. Maybe he will be my son-in-law one day.
Me: Mom... We're only 15.
Me: But hopefully......
MamaWolfhard: <3 Love you Finn
Me: Love you too mom

I put down my phone and looked over at Jack. He was so cute and peaceful lying on my shoulder with his eyes closed. Before I knew it, we pulled into the T.G.I. Friday's parking lot. I nudged Jack stirring him awake and the two of us got out of the car thanking our driver. Holding hands, Jack and I entered the building ready to hopefully have the best night of our lives.
"Table for two," Jack said when we approached the hostess' desk.
"Alrighty. Follow me this way," the hostess told us. She had long brunette hair and a huge smile.
When we got to our table, the two of us sat down as we were handed the menus. The hostess simply smiled and walked away after telling us that our server would be over shortly.
"Hi, my name is..." the waitress started before Jack cut her off.
"Natalia!" Jack nearly screamed causing many people in the restaurant to turn around and stare at us.
"Jack. How are you?" she said as I sat there quietly wondering who this girl is.
"I'm good. This is my, uh, boyfriend Finn," Jack told her effectively introducing me.
"Boyfriend?" she asked seeming surprised.
"Yeah, I'm gay."
"Oh, well, nice to meet you Finn." She took out her notepad. "Anyway, what can I get you guys to drink?"
Jack and I ordered. We both got Sprites. Once Natalia left I stared at Jack.
"How do you two know each other?" I asked Jack curiously.
"She was a family friend. She is a few years older than us. Our moms were really close when I was little but I guess we all grew apart. I haven't seen her in forever."
"Oh..." I said trailing off and nodding.
"When I was younger my friends would always say that I had a crush on her and maybe I convinced myself I did. That was before I knew that I was gay, though. That was before I met the love of my life, you." Jack was smiling as I was blushing. Right then, Natalia brought our drinks and we ordered our meals.
Throughout the entire date I couldn't stop thinking about what Jack said: that I was the love of his life. I simply hope that that is true.
Jack's POV
8:00 PM that evening
The rest of the date went pretty well. Finn and I had just finished our meals and were about to pay and leave. Finn said he was going to pay; that boy is so sweet. As we gathered our stuff, I said goodbye to Natalia, but all she did was give me a dirty look. What the hell was her problem all of a sudden? Finn and I started walking toward the door when I heard a familiar voice call my name from behind. I turned around and couldn't believe my eyes.
"Chris!" I screamed. I haven't seen him in so long; we used to be best friends before he moved away.
"Hi Jack," he said shyly before giving me a hug. It felt good to feel his warmth against my body, but it was nothing compared to the way I feel when I'm with Finnie.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him quickly.
"We just moved back to LA," he told me staring into my eyes. Before I knew it his lips were pressed against mine. After a moment, I pushed him off of me.
"I have a boyfriend, Chris," I told him though I've got to admit that it felt good. I forgot that he used to have a crush on me; I guess it never went away.
"I'm s-so sorry Jack. Natalia told me that you are gay but she didn't say that you are with someone."
"Well, I am," I said turning around to introduce him to Finn. When I turned around though Finn was gone leaving me standing there, alone.
