Blackness. Everything. Dark. Quiet.

My eyes try open. I can't.

//Hoseok's POV//

"Idiots, she found out!" I yelled at everyone, "tie her up, I don't want another murder on my hands." Everyone quietly followed my instructions and took her back to the lab.

Her eyes flickered open, squinting as they adjusted to the light. She looked down at herself and groaned.

"I'm tied up again? Don't you dare try to make me forget!" She yelled. I signalled for the guys to leave, and they do. I turned back to her and crossed my arms.

"I will finally tell you..." I announced as I pulled out a stool to sit on.

"Y/n... Yes, I killed your mother. People are changing, they're going insane. This gas is changing them. They will turn on you, no matter whether you're their daughter or not. You'll either be turned or killed. They are cannibals, they'll rip you apart if ever they got their hands on you." I stopped to take another breath.

"Your father. He changed. Tae being your neighbour had easy access to your house. He saw your father suffocating your mother with this gas. He shot your father and climbed into your house to see if your mother was still human. It was too late, she was infected. In a few days she would've woken as a killer, a psycho, a cannibal." Y/n's face was blank with awe. She didn't know what to think, say or do.

"We killed her to protect you, so you wouldn't die too. I said I would help you when you needed it, I promised." I added.

"Is this a joke!?" She scoffed. I glared at her, seriousness filling my expression.

"The mask you got for me is a special type of gear, you can walk through the poisoned air and survive. This one is most special of all kinds of masks. This one makes your adrenaline go high, gives you strength, tells you weather you're human or not, and it was from my uncle." I explained. She looked at me completely confused, the tears still falling one by one as she listened.

"How long will this go on for?" She asked.

"We don't know the answer to that... Somewhere close to forever?" I answered lowering my eyes, hating the thought I couldn't do anything to stop it. Her face distorted and cold sweat broke out on her head again, her body shaking uncontrollably.

"H-help us" She stammered.

"That's what we're trying to do," I replied, "Anymore questions?"

"How? Why is this happening?" She asked with fear filled eyes

"We will find out someday... All we know is a certain gas is turning people into Irregulars." I answered with a sigh.

"Why do you call them the Irregulars?" She asked.

"The actual word means out of control, or out of order. That's exactly what these people are like." I explained. Her brow furrowed and she looked down at the ground.
