Sorry for the long wait my loves, school's a draaaggg recently. I'm holding up all A's and one B in my classes so that's a plus. I donate blood tomorrow and volunteer as well and I begin working on Monday, I finally got a job! It's exciting but stressful and I'm writing as much as I can but recently it hasn't been a lot since I'm so busy. This story is about a little over halfway done and I'm really excited to see where it goes! Love you all, hope you have a good rest of your week and weekend, and as always, enjoy.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Emily, happy birthday to you!" Everyone sings before she blows out her candles. She looks up at me and smiles and I give her one back.
"Happy birthday, baby. I love you."
"I love you too, Vi-Vi." I lean down and give her a kiss as Niall and Gemma begin cutting cake and serving it with ice cream.
After everyone finishes their cake and ice cream we all gather round Emily as she begins to open her presents. Zach hands her his gift to her and she smiles. He stands and kisses her cheek and she blushes like mad. She opens up the card first and then the bag. She pulls out a very pretty yellow dress with flowers on the bottom half of it and a bright blue scarf, as well as a pair of white sandals. She thanks Zach and his mom and continues opening the rest of her presents.
Once she finishes and everyone proceeds to leave, Zach and Ava approach me with big smiles on their faces.
"Thank you for inviting us, Violet, it was really sweet of you."
"Oh, it was all Emily's doing, she wanted you both here. We all enjoyed having you."
"She's such a sweetheart, and so are you. Ever since his father left I've struggled to obtain friendships and I know we're not super close but everytime I see you and Zach sees Emily it just brightens our day. So, thank you," Ava says and I smile giving her a hug. I pull out my phone and open up a new contact page and hand it to her. When she notices what I'm doing her eyes go wide and she smiles giddily like a child on Christmas.
Once her number is in and she returns my phone, Zach pulls on my pant leg. I lean down and give him a hug as he kisses my cheek. I laugh as Ava gasps and he blushes profusely.
"Bye bye, Zach," I tell him. "Bye Ava." She smiles and grabs Zach's hand before they exit the arcade. After everyone has left, I help Harry and Niall clean up the rest of the pizza boxes and leftover cups and things all the kids left around. I hear Emily scream and my head snaps up before I hear her laughing as Louis tickles her sides. I let out the breath I was holding before we finish up cleaning. As Louis and Liam continue to torture Emily Niall Harry and I load up the cars with Emily's toys and gifts.
After everything is cleaned up and put away I go back inside and begin tickling Emily along with Louis and Liam.
"St-stop i-it!" She screams as she continues to giggle. I stop tickling her and pick her up.
"You ready to go home?" I ask her and she nods her head sleepily.
"You tired, little one?" Louis asks her. She nods her head as Liam tells her goodbye and kisses her cheek. Louis opens his arms and Emily nods before pushing on me and grabbing onto Lou. He rubs my back as we make our way out into the warm and damp March air. After everyone is loaded up in the cars we all head back towards the Styles household.
Once everything is neatly put away in Emily's room, Niall puts her down for a nap as I go into my room and get ready for one myself. After getting dressed in some comfy clothes I lay in bed under the covers with the lights off.
Ever since Emily started school, she's gotten so much more confident. She's made so many friends in her school and figured out she enjoys reading and writing, even for a young six year old, she's progressed so much in her reading and writing skills. Her and Zach are still going strong in their 'relationship'. They really only see each other in school, but after Ava and I exchanged numbers today I think we'll all be seeing more of each other. And speaking of relationships, Niall and I have progressed so much in ours. Not only in the mental aspect of our relationship, but as well as the physical, if you know what I mean.
Niall interrupts my thoughts by entering my room and slipping into my bed.
"Tired, baby?" He asks and I yawn as he does so. He chuckles before slipping off his jeans, leaving him in his tee and underwear. He wraps me in his arms and I snuggle in.
"Thank you, for all your help today with Emily's party, I really appreciate it, and I know she does too."
"You're welcome baby, I'd do anything for you guys," he tells me and I smile.
"I'm exhausted and I have a well deserved nap ahead of me, so goodnight," I tell him leaning my head up and giving him a kiss.
"Goodnight, sweetheart. Sleep well."
"Vi, baby. Wake up." I stir before I begin to stretch.
"What is so important that you're waking me up from my beautiful nap?"
"Emily is up, it's almost dinner time," he informs me and I furrow my brow before looking up at him. "We're giving her her birthday gift from us." I grin up at him and nod before jumping up and brushing through my hair quickly.
Niall slowly gets out of bed and I run over to him and slap his ass.
"Oi! What was that for?"
"Let's go let's go let's go!" I shout and he chuckles at me before pinching my ass in return. Once we enter the kitchen, Emily is already helping Harry set the table. We all sit around and begin to dig in.
"Emily, did you help Harry make dinner?" Niall asks and she nods holding up one of her stuffed peppers.
"Yes! I did!" I smile as I wipe my mouth with a napkin.
"They're really good, Emmy," I tell her and she smiles at me. After everyone finishes their dinner and everything is cleaned up and put away, we all gather in the foyer as Harry brings in a big bag that has the words 'happy birthday' written all over it with balloons and streamers and little birthday cakes.
"What's this?" She asks as Harry sets it in front of her.
"It's your birthday present."
"From who?" She asks slightly peeking in before looking up at me.
"It's from all of us. Me, Gemma, Niall, Vi-Vi, and Louis." He tells her and she frowns.
"But I already got all my presents from you guys," she says softly and my heart warms at her selflessness.
"It's okay, baby. We all got you one and then we all got together and got something for you," I tell her and she smiles with a nod. She pulls back the paper and pulls out a little book full of pictures we made. She opens it up and flips through it before getting to the last page. She digs back into the back and pulls out a swimsuit, a pair of sandals, a beach hat, and a pair of goggles and a snorkel. Her face twists into more confusion but still with a big smile on it. She reaches into the bag and pulls out a card. She slowly, very slowly, begins to read it.
"Happy birthday, Emily. We love you! This summer, we are going on a trip to the beach!" She looks up at me as she's gasps.
"The beach?"
"The pictures, that's the beach we're going to," I tell her and she grins wide.
"Thank you thank you thank you! I'm so excited!" She shouts jumping up and hugging each and every one of us. I laugh as she jumps up and down.
"Cat's out the bag, time to get excited." Niall chuckles behind me and I grin.
"Time to get excited," I repeat sofly.
