Amy's POV

We pulled up outside mums house after the journey that was mostly spent in silence and were surprised to see some other cars on the drive.

"I hope she doesn't have any weird strangers round" I hissed to Olly as we walked up the front garden path. The grey stone slabbed pathway was lined with flower pots overflowing with a random variety of flowers. My dad was very proud of his gardens and flowers as he was a gardener.

"Me too" Olly whispered back to me as we reached the top of the path and I knocked on the door.

My mum opened the door with a huge smile on her face and she ushered us in.

"Darlings, it's so good to see you" she exclaimed as she closed the door behind us. She was always presentable and neat as a pin unlike me and would never leave the house in any thing but proper dress. I didn't dare try to hug her she would have moaned at me for getting her still immaculate dress crumpled or something.

We walked through the house and out into the back garden. It was lovely day outside and my parents had a summer house in the back bit of their garden so we put a table up in there and ate on that.

I could already see my dad grilling sausages and chicken whilst chatting to some of his friends. I assumed they were the people who's cars where on the drive.

"Hey dad" I called running over to him.

"Ah sweetheart" he said as he turned around and smiled at me. "These are my friends Lisa and Bob"

They both smiled at me in turn.

"It's nice to meet you" they said still smiling. They seemed friendly. " we have heard so much about you"

"Nice to meet you too" I said politely and smiled at them.

"Amy honey, be an angel an go get some drinks for us?" my mum said walking over. She was wearing heels and her hair was in a beautiful updo, so different to my dad who was wearing some beige coloured cotton trousers and a blue checkered shirt that was open revealing a grubby black vest. over the top he was wearing a "worlds best chef" apron which i think me and Olly got for him when we were younger for a fathers day gift.

"Sure mum" I said, knowing I couldnt say no and embarass her infront of her friends and wandered off to the kitchen.

When I got in there I got the cups out of the cupboards and started pouring drinks. Everyone wanted something different so I got out a tray from the cupboards and began loading the full cups onto it.

I had just finished and was about to carry them out when I whirled around and bumped into some one sending the drinks flying and drenching myself and the person.

"Ohmygosh, I'm so sorry" I gushed looking up but when I did my heart almost stopped...
