Chris POV
My phone started ringing so I pulled it out of my pocket to answer it. The caller ID said it was my movie director so I pressed the answer button.
Excusing myself from everyone I walked out into the corridor to answer it. Amy, Inez and Georgia seemed to be getting along fine so I didn't mind leaving them.
"Hello, chris are you there?" I heard my director say through the phone. I brought it up to my ear.
"Yeah I'm here. what's up?"
"All of the scenes we have already filmed for your movie were accidentally deleted and we appear to have lost the back up drive so we need al hands on deck to find it or we have to reshoot the scenes!"
"Ok....."
"Chris we know it's a lot to ask but we really need your help"
"How long?" I whispered barely audible
"I'm so sorry to tell you thi-" I cut him off
"How long?" I growled getting angry.
"Five months" I hung up and punched the wall wincing as the pain hit me.
I looked back to the kitchen to see if anyone had noticed but they had all disappeared into the living room. I don't know how I was supposed to just pack up and leave for give months. You don't do that. My hesitation to go was mainly because of Amy though. I know I hadn't known her that long but we had so much in common and I think I love her.
I walked into the living room and slumped down onto the settee. I must have looked pretty bad because Amy immediately came over to me and asked me what was wrong.
"They want me back in the studio" I said.
"Ok for how long?" Amy asked looking afraid to hear the answer.
"Five months" I said.
***
Me and Amy had spent the past week together. Wether it was watching a film at my place or hers or we would go to the lake and walk around it or go shopping.
I didn't like shopping but it made Amy happy so I went with it.
Whenever she couldn't afford to pay for something she wanted I would buy it for her earning me a punch on the arm for spending money on her but I don't mind.
The movies we watched were mainly romantic comedies like the proposal with Sandra bullock or action films which Amy seemed to love.
Soon though the day we had both been avoiding came running up to us and knocked on our door.
Quite literally because we had a cab driver take us to the airport an we were running late so he got impatient.
We were at the airport terminal waiting for the final passport checks because my flight left in ten minutes.
"I'm going to miss you" Amy said suddenly wrapping her arms around my waist.
She was quite a lot smaller than me but I didn't mind because it was cute.
"Hey don't worry. I'll be back before you know it and we can skype and FaceTime and text everyday" I said tilting her chin up to look at me.
She stood up on her tip toes and closed the gap between my mouth and hers.
The speaker announced the final call for my flight as we pulled away.
"Amy I know we haven't known each other long but it feels like forever and I think I-I love you" I said. She stared at me for a few minutes open mouthed until...
"I love you too chris"
