My head perched up when I heard what sounded like Amy's voice coming down the hall way followed by angry muttering when something dropped.

I wonder how she got here so fast.

She came bursting through the doors laden with baggage.

Looking frantically around the hospital ward until finally her eyes settled on me.

Chris' POV

Amy's eyes finally land on me as all the colour drains from her face.

She looses grip on her baggage letting her fingers uncurl and the bags tumble to the floor.

She slowly walks towards me in a zombiefied state sitting down as she reaches my bed.

"Hey babe" I say nervously. She hasn't said anything since she stepped in here an she still looked pale.

"I-I baby....." she struggled to get out.

"Are you? does it hurt? what happened? do you have any concussion? what's broken?" she fires questions at me.

"I swear I will kill the driver who did this" her Voice starts to raise so I moved my good arm to pull her closer to me.

A nurse comes in and almost trips over the bags in the doorway, cursing under her breath but we take no notice, only staring at each other.

Amy reaches her hand out and runs a gentle finger across the large cut on my cheek bone.

She presses on a sensitive spot by accident and I flinch away causing tears to rush to her eyes.

"No no no, baby please don't cry" I said because I knew if she broke down I would too.

I pulled her down further to lay next to me on the tiny hospital bed and she automatically curled into my side her head resting on my chest.

I strokes her hair and started playing with it, running the curly locks between my fingers.

I wasn't in a private ward but it was quite late at night and every one else in here was asleep so it was ok for her to lie on my bed.

"How you doing?" she asks breaking the silence.

"I'm ok, it doesn't hurt anymore that's for sure" I replied kissing the top of her head.

"You must never ever do anything like this again. I was so scared when I picked up the phone and didn't hear your voice. I immediately pictured the worst and almost collapsed right there on the spot. It took all I had to even get up an reply to the man on the other end of the phone....."

Her shoulders hunched and she out her hands up to her face, her hair falling down and covering it.

I could tell she was crying by her body shaking and the muffled sound of crying coming from behind her hands.
