A thousand different thoughts ran through Corinna's brain. She couldn't believe that Billy admitted that he needed her. She was filled with fury yet compassion. She was torn in have. She couldn't pick a side, either love or hate. On one side, she loved Billy, he was compassionate, kind, caring everything she ever wanted. On the other hand, he was filled with rage, ready to burst at any second. Corinna just sat there, looking at Billy, tears in her eyes. Corinna gave in. She thought about Billy's dad and couldn't take it. She was filled with compassion for him and ran over to him and hugged. 

"I swear to god Billy, you go crazy like that again and I'm dropping your ass." said Corinna through laughs and tears.

"I'll be good. I promise" said Billy with a huge smile on his face. Corinna had forgotten that all the kids and Steve had been watching their drama. Corinna instantly embarrassed said 

"C'mon Max let's go."

The trio got in the car. 

"I like you a lot, Corinna" said Max. Corinna couldn't believe it. Max had never shown any affection to her except a single smile. 

"I like you a lot too, Max" said Corinna smiling. Billy looked at both of them and smiled. He genuinely felt happy for the first time in a long time. Before they pulled up to Billy's house Corinna said

"You can drop me off here, I'll walk. I don't want your parents to see me."

"Why not?" said Billy "I like you and if the don't like you who cares?"

"Billy, I don't want you or Max to get in trouble because of me" Before Billy could protest Corinna leaned over and kissed him. 

"I'll see you at school" said Corinna smiling. Then she got out of the car and began to walk away. 

....Monday Morning.....

Corinna was talking with Nancy when someone picked her up from behind. Corinna squealed and turned around. 

"Hello there handsome" said Corinna giving Billy a quick peck. She took the cigarette from his mouth and took a hit. 

"I have to go to class, love" said Corinna, not wanting to be late. 

"Alright goodie two shoes" said Billy as Corinna rolled her eyes. 

When Corinna came out of school she saw Billy waiting for her. 

"We are going to Pop's today" said Billy motioning for her to get in the car.

"Ok, but we need to be quick I have homework" Billy laughed and rolled his eyes. "Ok mom" 

"Are we taking Max?" said Corinna.

"Nah, she's going to the arcade"

"How are you guys doing?"

"We're doing better, she still gets on my nerves though"

"Yeah, Will and Jonathan get on my nerves constantly." 

"What's up with your brother? I heard them say something about zombie boy or some shit."

"oh yeah, that's a long story. I'll tell you some other time" Billy grabbed Corinna's hand and kissed it. "I love you."
