•Lacey's POV•

Mason was stood in front of me for the first time in just over 7 months.

I couldn't form a proper sentence.

I could hear the yells of my friends but I stood rooted in place. I couldn't find it in me to move.

My heart was galloping as I looked into his mesmerizing eyes.

There was rucus all around us but it still seemed as if we were the only two people around.

Time slowed down.

I lifted a hand up to his cheek but was dragged away by Lindsay and Rose.

I didn't fight them, I just went with it.

A soft drizzle started as the distance between us grew.

I wanted to break free and run into his arms but something was holding me back.

He looked at me with a sad smile.

"MASON!" I screamed as he fell to the floor.

I ripped myself from Rose and Lindsay and ran towards him.

"Mason!" I yelled as I dropped down next to him.

There was a sword in his spine and blood was gushing out.

"Mason, no!" I sobbed as I put his head in my lap.

His breaths were getting slower and his eyes were closing.

"Lindsay!" I yelled through my tears.

"Do something!" I hiccupped.

"Lacey, you know that death is the one thing I can't heal." she informed me with tears in her eyes.

"Lacey," Mason struggled out.

"Shh. You're going to be alright." I reassured myself.

"I love-" he inhaled sharply as his body lifted. "I love you,"

"I love you too."

We had finally confessed our feelings to each other, but how fortunate were we that it was on Mason's dying bed where we couldn't do anything about it.

"Mason!" I yelled as his eyes rolled back. "Mason!"

His breathing slowed down until it completely stopped.

"Mason!" I sobbed holding onto him.

I had just got him back and now he was gone. This time forever!
