•Lacey's POV•

I sprang up with a startle.

"She's up!" yelled a voice.

Footsteps pounded down the hall leading up to my room.

"Babes!" Jackson sighed in relief as he engulfed me in a giant hug.

I melted in his arms and sobbed my heart out.

"Give us a minute please guys," Jackson said.

Everyone either kissed my head or my cheek and filed out the room all the while I was in Jackson's arms.

"Babes. What happened?" he asked concerned.

I wasted no time at all and jumped straight to the story.

*Flashback*

"Miss," I raised my hand. "May I please use the bathroom."

"Break was 20 minutes ago. You should have went then." she glared.

"Well with all due respect..." I started off.

"I didn't have my period 20 minutes ago either." I snapped at her smirking as her face filled with what looked like a mix of shock, fury and embarrasment.

No one has ever taken on Miss Hardey so it was no surprise that I got an applause as I exited the room.

I went to the school parking lot and ripped my phone out.

*ring ring*

"Hi this is St Mary's hospital for the mentally I'll. How may I be of assistance?" asked the receptionist on the other end.

"Stacy." I breathed.

"Oh my... Lacey?" she asked with shock. "Is it? Oh my, it is! Happy birthday Lacey. Hold on I'll fetch him for you."

"Thank you Stacy."

"Always a pleasure love."

"Lacey?" a soft voice whispered on the other end.

That's all it took for me to burst into tears.

"Oh no no no! Baby girl don't cry." the voice said hurriedly.

"I miss you!" I continued to sob.

"I know babes. I miss you more than you can even imagine my love. Happy birthday!"

"I miss her!" I yelled.

"I miss her too love."

"When can I see you?" I asked trying to stop the tears but failing miserably.

"Lacey..." the voice trailed off. "Not anytime soon."

"But I want to see you!" I yelled down the line.

"I know babes. I want to see you more than anything in the world. But its not in our hands."

"It's not fair!"

"I know that baby girl. I love you so much sweet child. I have to go now." the voice said with a heavy voice.

"I miss you baby girl. Don't forget how much I love you." the voice said.

"I miss you more daddy." I sobbed as the call ended.

A million thoughts rushed through my mind but one dominated everything.

I have to get and see her!

Without giving it a second thought, I skillfully left school doing an excellent job avoiding the guard on duty.
