Lina's P.O.V.:

It's been a while since I last saw him... Ever since that day when he saved me from the magistrate...

But I can't go around asking people where he is everyday. I did asked once or twice but if I do it any more then people are going to think it's suspicious...

I was walking around the village during my lunch break when I saw the back of Lord Yukimura...

"Yukimura sama!" I called out happily.

Finally someone who can give me a definite answer about him!

Yukimura sama's head swivelled around and his crystal blue eyes met mine.

"Hey Lina." he gave me a kind smile as he faced me. "Just Yukimura is fine you know."

I shook my head.

"Nah, almost all the lords tell me that. But I somehow feel I'm disrespecting all of you if I don't address all of you formally."

"It's fine really!" Yukimura sama insisted as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "We know you on a personal basis so it's really fine if you ask me!"

I chuckled at his comment and gave in.

"Alright since you say so. By the way, I have a question to ask you."

"Hm?"

"Have you seen Saizo sama?" I asked with a hopeful voice.

"S-s-Sai. Saizo?" Yukimura spluttered, his blue eyes looking crestfallen.

Huh?

"Yukimura? Are you okay?" I asked, worry lacing my tone.

Did something happen to him???

"S-s-s-Saizo? You're looking for Saizo huh.." Yukimura murmured as I knit my eyebrows in confusion.

"Yes. That's why I called you. I wanted to ask you about Saizo sama..." I repeated my question while eyeing him carefully.

Why is his face so red? Is he having a fever or something?

"Erm... Uhm..." Yukimura stammered as he scratched the back of his head. "I-I-I don't know where he is."

"Now-now little lord. It's not nice to tell the little lady here lies." a deep voice that I know very well interrupted us as a shadow loomed from behind me.

My heart started beating faster as I turned around to face him, eyes shining and cheer in my tone.

But I took special care not to hug him since we're not alone..

"Saizo sama!" I exclaimed, putting on a big grin for him. "I was so worried about you! You didn't turn up for so long at the restaurant! I thought something had happened to you!"

However Saizo just regarded me with emotionless crimson eyes before gazing at Yukimura.

"Lord Shingen is done here. He has already collected his swords from the blacksmith. So we'll be heading back."

I frowned mentally at his cold attitude towards me.

"Saizo-..." I began but he cut me off as he walked past me, and away from Yukimura too...

"Huh?" I was really dumbfounded to say the least.

It took a while before Yukimura regained his composure and shouted after Saizo's retreating back.

"Hey I-I-I wasn't telling lies! I really didn't know where you were exactly at the moment she asked!" Yukimura argued but Saizo didn't show any response even though we know he heard Yukimura loud and clear..

"What's wrong with him?!" I pouted as I crossed my arm. "He's never this cold to me before..."

"Before?" Yukimura asked as he quickly turned back to face me. "You mean you and Saizo are close???"

I was almost taken in by the curiosity in his blue eyes but quickly regained myself.

"Uhm no-no! What I meant was from the times he's visited my grandma's restaurant. Uh oh I gotta go! I just remembered my lunch break is about to end!" I answered hastily as I quickly ran off before Yukimura can press me for more questions.
