She quickly made her way to the familiar sakura tree and before she knew it, Saizo had her pressed against the tree, prying a bit of her yukata collar open...
"Hmm... The marks are fading quite well..." Saizo hummed in approval as Lina quickly yanked her collar closed.
"S-Saizo! That wasn't very appropriate!" she squeaked and Saizo kissed his girlfriend passionately before pulling away.
"It just irks me that the magistrate made a mark on what's mine."
"Well that can't be helped right?" Lina sighed as she cupped his face.
"Saizo."
"Hm?"
"I love you."
Saizo smiled and was about to reply the same thing when a crow squawked loudly before landing on one of the branches of the sakura tree.
Lina blinked at it before turning to Saizo.
"Yours?"
Saizo just gave a nod and the crow changed position and landed on his shoulder. There was a scroll attached to one of its feet. Saizo untied it and unrolled the paper...
"Well?" Lina pressed as her boyfriend rolled up the message.
"My ex-girlfriend wants to meet me." he deadpanned.
Lina felt a bubbling jealousy but didn't show it just yet.
"Why is she able to send a message through your crow?"
"Because she's a ninja too."
"Oh.. What's her name? How come you never talk about her?"
"Her name's Yuki. Because I don't think you'll be interested."
Lina chewed her lower lip to hold back her anger.
"So are you going to meet her?"
"Yea." Saizo gave a smile as he tried to kiss her but Lina pulled away.
"You can't kiss me when you've just told me you're meeting your ex!" she spat.
Saizo tried to keep his laughter in before breaking out in a grin.
"You seriously believed me?"
"Huh?!"
"I was just kidding little lady. Yuki is my elder sister. She and Hotaru, our youngest brother, just received their ninja pay and asked me out for lunch."
"Oh..." Lina answered, feeling silly. "Why would you lie to me?!"
"That's payback for making me jealous little lady." Saizo gave his heart throbbing smirk, quickly stealing a kiss from Lina.
"H-hey chotto! Why did you do that?!?"
"Now that's for fun." the silver haired ninja kissed her forehead before quickly disappearing.
Lina gave a loud sigh when she realised she's alone again.
"This boyfriend of mine... Always appearing and disappearing..." she grumbled but with a small smile on her face as she made her way back to the restaurant..
