Saizo (SLBP PART 1)

Chapter Twenty-Five

Saizo immediately made his move by fleeing the place, everything going perfectly according to plan...

The Daimyos were at Lord Shingen's castle on the pretext of politics... But their main aim was to remain protected in the area so that Saizo can kill of their threat...

His crow has been positioned in the forest outside the inn and the bird flew high into the air, guiding him...

Guiding him to where his other opponent is...

After a few minutes of running, the crow suddenly dived silently into the trees and Saizo understood the signal. Few meters up ahead is where he will meet his enemy...

Saizo moved stealthily through the shadows and waited patiently...

He knew the ninja will step out because the boy will be running late...

"Of course he will be running late... He's already dead..." Saizo thought mentally..

His wait wasn't futile when he heard something moving across him and saw a blur dashing in the direction where he came from..

Saizo intercepted the person and the ninja halted when the silver haired shinobi stood there, leaning against a tree, his hair glinting under the moonlight.

The ninja, a female, stared him down before her eyes narrowed.

"Whose blood is that on you?" her voice sounded, anger lacing it.

"..."

"Did... Did you kill my partner?!?" she whispered.

Again Saizo remained mum...

"You have no idea what you've just incurred..."

"A woman's wrath I suppose?" Saizo said with a mocking tone.

"Would you give me a chance to listen to my side of the story?"

"Do you have five hundred dangos as payment?"

".... Right now I don't though..."

"Then no deal. I Kirigakure Saizo only deal right here and now. If you don't have it then I'll see my mission through the end."

The female ninja, wearing a brown ninja gear and a fox mask but with pink markings, unsheathed her sword and stared emotionlessly at him.

"Guess I'll have to force it out of you on my partner's whereabouts... I'll let you draw the first move. Let's see whether you'll be able to make it back to the little lady after this..."

Saizo's eyes widened as something ignited in him.

He didn't bother to think anymore as he dashed straight for her, going straight for the kill with his sword.

"Your moves are flawed. You are unprotected here. Here. And here." the ninja commented as she weaved her sword around as if it's made of ribbon, successfully giving Saizo some serious cuts...

No matter what Saizo do, she only ended up with slight scratches here and there. She made sure she is constantly switching between the defensive and offensive mode at all times...

Saizo decided he has had enough when she swiftly cut off the rope which tied the sword of his best friend to his back...

"Too slow." she said quietly as she raised a hand to catch the sword...

Saizo's eyes widened as he narrowed them dangerously.

"Do. Not. Ever. Touch. That. Sword."

"Why? Does it anger you?"

"..."

"Wanna tell me where my partner is?"

"..."

"Hmph... Fine..." she said in a teasing tone. "If you want your sword back then get it yourself."

She moved in a brown blur and went on aggressive mode on him, using two swords to push against him.

"You should have used both swords then you could have won this match easily. Don't you agree Kirigakure Saizo?" she said with a smirk in her voice.

"Fuck she's good..." Saizo gritted out in his mind. "She might be even better than Kansuke or Hanzo... I have to take her out fast..."

The female ninja suddenly used a technique which Saizo didn't expect; mordhau.

She used the hilt of her own sword to knock the sword in his hand out from his grip with fast and precise accuracy.

He heard his sword landing among the grassy patch and gritted his teeth, glancing at the shadows where his sword landed among before turning to face his enemy...

However... she was gone...
