Notions

What a strange thing, an outlandish notion,

Can monsters feel, what they call emotion?

Can they see the prerogatives? Or do they see bad?

Do they know what is lost, and what they once had?

We fear those monsters, we fear its pain,

We fear their entity, but they fear our disdain,

We fear what we don't know, yet we yearn for much more,

Can monsters be like humans? Or is that merely a lore?

We can't die without people, we endeavour for this,

Yet the monsters have lived, without ones that they miss,

Does that count as a sentiment? Or an illusion, so tactile?

Can monsters think so similarly, without being guile?

We are wrong and we lie, we live just to breath,

So can monsters be us, since we easily decieve?

Have we gotten it all wrong? Are we tainted by light?

Aren't humans like monsters? Do they fear that we're right?
