The ugly truth wonders, a hideous flaw,
Stands behind shadows, feelings so raw,
4 steps to the future, 5 to the past,
The ugly truth wonders, how long this will last.
The most beautiful lies wither, a dimming light,
Crippling like paper, holding no fight,
The world in its hands, it turns on its finger,
Perpetually wondering, how long feelings linger.
A memory or pain? Such a thing to decide,
Both flaws are hungry, and fed, they both tried,
As it clasps another lie, bouquets for a rose,
Though it knows very well, that 'care' is a pose,
Fulfilling their wishes, their irrefutable demands,
The truth has been scarred, and so has its hands,
The ugly truth wonders, how tight their binds tie,
For all it will devour, is a beautiful lie.
