Loki’s POV
When I saw Breann through the window, our gazes locked. She looked absolutely terrified while I was so shocked I couldn’t move. Once I realized what she was doing, I got angry and started to make my way over to her as quickly as possible. I wasn’t angry at her necessarily, I was more angry with myself for I was the one that she was escaping from. She had just been brought here and already she was trying to escape from me! Did she not feel the connection we shared?
I sprinted after her but she was much to fast to follow by foot. I was pleasantly surprised that she knew exactly where to turn and didn’t stop to hesitate at all, someone must have told her how to escape. I would have to deal with them later.
Once I realized that by the time I would catch up to her she would be gone, I teleported myself around the next corned.
Breann ran into me, full on force but I stood like a wall. She screamed as I gripped her shoulders and held on to her tightly, not wanting her to escape. Breann struggled against me but I held her firmly in place, making sure she could not move. She whimpered slightly and I felt a pain go through me from her being injured but I could not allow myself to look sympathetic around my army.
My army finally rounded the corner and looked stunned that I was standing there. Fear radiated off them in waves. “Take her back to her room.” I spat at them, infuriated that they had allowed her to escape so easily.
Two men walked forward and took Breann from me, holding onto her tightly while she still struggled. She was a very stubborn women.
“There will be no meals for you, for the rest of the day.” I told her, upset that she had broken a rule. “I did say there was going to be a punishment. Next time it will be worse.” I warned her and she shook her head at me fearfully.
Another flash of pain went through me from seeing her become fearful of me. It was a sense of pride when my army and other mortals were frightened of me but when she was, I could not help but feel pained.
I turned to the man who was in charge of keeping her in her post. “As for you.” I hissed at him.
My men started to drag Breann away as the stupid mortal answered me. “S-s-she got out, my King.”
“I can very well see that!” I hissed at him, my anger rising. “The problem is that she it out!”
“I-I will d-do better m-my Lord,” My soldier promised. I gave him an almost pitied smile. I would enjoy killing him.
“You are right, you will not fail me again.” I told him then stepped forward and grabbed the man by his shoulders and head. I flicked my hands as a snapping sound of his neck could be heard. The man slumped on the ground, unfazing me. What did faze me and shake me greatly, however, was the scream Breann let out soon to be followed by another muffled one.
“Get rid of the body.” I told the other men, not bothering to feel prideful of their fear.
I walked towards Breann’s room while her frightened scream haunted me.
Once I came to her room, the guards walked out. I stopped one of them, my face menacing. “Did you harm her in any way?”
They looked confused so I asked louder, my temper short. “Did you harm her!” I yelled and they both jumped.
“No, my lord.” They both said together, their positions in an attention stance.
