"Boring ba ako kasama?"

Napaangat ang tingin ni Cassie nang magsalita si Atom. Napatuwid siya ng upo at sunud-sunod na iling ang ginawa niya.

"Sorry! No, no. I just spaced out." nahihiyang saad niya.

Nangalumbaba si Atom sa lamesa at tinignan siya na tila ba binabasa nito kung ano ang nasa isip niya. "Well, that's the third time you spaced out. Nagdududa na tuloy ako sa skills ko. Pumapalya na ba charms ko?",

She blushed because of her embarassment. They were having their dinner at a Japanese restaurant after they watched a Marvel movie. She can't believe she spaced out again for the third time. Nakakahiya kay Atom. He's a great company, actually. Ibang-iba ito sa pagkakakilala niya na pilyo at maloko. All throughout the day, he had been nothing but to be sweet, gentleman and good to her and here she was.. just spacing out.

"I'm sorry." sabi niya dahil hindi na niya alam kung ano pa ang pwede o dapat pang sabihin.

Atom chuckled and leaned both of his arms on their table."Is there something bothering you?"

She shook her head and sighed.

"Oh, my bad. I asked the wrong question. Is there someone bothering you?"

She looked at Atom when he really stressed out the word someone. She knows, he knows something. She sighed once again.

"Does this someone's name starts with a letter N and ends with ikolas?" Atom grinned when she glared at him.

Mali pala siya. Hindi pala buong araw mabait si Atom. Bumabalik nanaman kasi ang pagkamaloko nito. Usisero pa, idagdag niya.

"No." she said doubting if he would believe her.

"You like him?" tanong nito sakanya.

"No."

"Oh, so you love him then?"

She was about to answer when she stopped after she realized what he just said. Nakangisi si Atom na tila naka-hit ito ng bull's eye.

"No." she still answered.

"Ha-Ha. Lie harder, babe." pagtuya nito sakanya.

She sighed loudly. "Yes." she said almost a whisper. "But I don't want to."

Atom smiled at her. "You just can't unlove a person in one snap."

"I know that's why it sucks being me." sabi niya at uminom sa wine na kanina pa niya hindi nagagalaw.

"Nah. Walang masama na magmahal."

Natawa siya bahagya dahil sa sinabi nito. Who would have though that Atom will say those words? It's not like something is wrong to what he said pero sa itsura nito na matangkad, lean, maputi, singkit at saksakan ng gwapo, hindi maiisip na magsasalita ito ng kakornihan. .

"What? It's true. Huwag mo sabihin na hindi at ikaw ang pagbabayarin ko sa lahat ng kinain natin." sabi sakanya ni Atom na may ngiti namang naglalaro sa labi nito.

"Hay! Ang hirap talaga kapag hindi ka gusto ng gusto mo. Ba't kaya ganon 'no? Bakit iyong mga gusto natin, 'di tayo gusto?"

Atom leaned back on his seat and crossed his arms above his chest. "How sure are you the person you like doesn't like you back?"

Napatingin siya kay Atom sandali. Walang bahid na kapilyuhan o kalokohan sa itsura nito. Tila seryoso talaga ito sa sinabi nito sakanya. They looked at each other for a while and then she realized that he's really waiting for her answer.
