Chapter Two: Welcome to Suun
"Once, a young girl thought it'd be fun
To be a worker of the Sun.
In the early days of the Celestials' reign,
Not many personal workers could they gain.
The ambitious girl the being instantly took,
Sending her to Suun's every nook.
Vast lands she roamed
In search of powerful stones,
One of which she unlocked,
The clear, vermillion rock.
A mage of fire, Tiger Lily became;
For fun, destruction was her game.
Without discrimination her victims were selected.
Once the Elemental Stones had been collected,
To the Sun's palace she walked the path of grey,
But the other Celestial blocked her way.
Taking her by surprise,
The Moon gouged out the messenger's eyes
And stole the stones away.
It was a dismal day
When Tiger Lily returned to the Sun's home.
He sneered at her from his throne
And sent her on another mission;
The anger she held made her efficient.
Finally pleased, the Sun sent her to his bitch;
Excuse me, I mean witch,
To restore her sight.
The young one took advantage of her plight,
So, over Tiger Lily, a spell was cast,
Banishing her to the past."
The humans sat around the fire and stare;
None of them appear to be scared,
Rather confused by the story.
Lily grumbled, "Did I not say it's extraordinary?"
Bellis breaks the silence with a whisper,
"You and this Tiger Lily seem very similar."
"Daisy wanted a campfire story, so I delivered,"
The freckled girl retorts making him quiver.
"I figured y'all would enjoy a scary story about situation."

PoetryPoetry stung together into a story of fantasy and destruction. I originally wrote this version of the story, now called Shadow of the Heart (on Webtoon), a few years ago when I was in high school. This is a different iteration I wrote a year later...
