Chapter Three: The Rebellion
At last his own,
Lyon holds the glowing stone.
Energy focused, he would unlock his true potential,
Gaining a power most desirable.
Nothing happened.
He tries again,
Pouring in all his hopes and dreams,
But any change is yet to be seen.
Falling to his knees and clutching the stone,
Weeps pitiable Lyon.
The hopes he built on
Erased the dreams he had drawn.
Before angrily tossing the rock,
He stops in a moment of shock.
The gem's clouds parted in swirls
Showing him a sleeping girl.
A human, in this land is rarely seen,
Unknowingly usurped his shattered dreams.
Using his despair in his favor,
He calls to his posse with fervor,
"Listen here to my secondary plan;
Across the golden lands
We will march.
Passing under their homely cave's arch,
We will steal the airy girl."
The thread of their doomed fate they hopelessly yearned to uncurl.
