I don't own Kantai Collection or any of its characters. I don't own any warships either, just so we're clear. I only own my OCs and their history. Still don't own any art. Nothing more, nothing less.

Arizona had the next few weeks later to herself. On base, she was shown the bay and the designated places in which they reserved for target practice. The red haired battleship was currently standing on open water, imagining torpedoes and such thrown at her from different directions. The first "torpedo" came in from the right, and she quickly kicked off to the side, then tilting back to dodge a "bullet" aimed for her head before pointing it at one of the targets off in the distance. Gunfire was loud and clear that morning, waking many residence from their morning slumber.

She paused and stood up straight, sighing as she looked over to the horizon. Still unable to sortie, and that was all thanks to the number of ship girls they had on base. There was one.

Sighing, her gaze returned to the port, where Naomi was running behind Avelina, trying to get the Filipino girl to run faster through the base, past several sailors. Naomi still had her cloak on, and literally all of her weapons. It didn't appear to slow her down at all. It had been a week and a half since they had started this training, and Naomi hadn't let the new captain touch a single gun at all.

As for the Colorana family, Belvack had returned to duty as normal, occasionally helping Avelina with navy strategy whenever Naomi wasn't kicking the life out of her daily. JR had introduced Arizona to the newest technology, in which he had called, "The Nintendo Switch", though, Rica had introduced her to the real tech, revealing that the tablet looking thing Avelina and Marianna carried around were called iPhones. She was honestly proud how modernized her people have become.

If only she knew.

After returning her rigging to the launching chamber, she found herself being run past by both Naomi and Avelina. Naomi smirked back at the red haired battleship and yelled, "We'll see ya later, Arizona! Come to the Carrier Range later, I'll make sure to show you a good time!"

Arizona hadn't known what that meant either, but Avelina took it the wrong way and nearly choked on her saliva, which nearly made her trip and fall. The red haired battleship shrugged before she continued on the opposite way, toward the other base's operation buildings. The HQ had some other rooms as well, like a secretary ship room and a ship girl decoding room for them as well. There was another mess hall made specifically for ship girls, due to the Japanese and Great Britain experiencing the large appetite of their ship girls.

The red head soon found herself at the entrance of one of the carrier ranges, finding Marianna in her admiral wear, a modern day revolver fresh in her hand. She was amazed as to how fast her admiral could shoot a gun, and upon blinking, Arizona realized she missed the scene of her admiral pulling out her revolver and shooting. There was fresh smoke emitting from the gun's barrel. Marianna sighed and placed her gun back inside its holder, turning to the door to leave, only to see Arizona leaning on the frame.

"Oh, good morning, Arizona..." She greeted her after a few moments of awkward silence. "Did you need something of me?"

Arizona had to think on that for a moment, that is, if she had something to ask. She didn't want to waste her admiral's time. "Admiral, can you tell me about the war?"

The question hit Marianna as if she knew Arizona would ask for that. She smiled and walked past her. "Follow me." She insisted, the redhead doing so, soon coming up to one of the elevators in the building. The admiral hadn't shown Avelina or Naomi this yet as they entered the metal doors. "So Arizona, I take it you've come in contact with many of your fellow ship mates before the war?"
