I don't own Kantai Collection or any of its characters. I don't own any warships either, just so we're clear. I only own my OCs and their history, I guess. Still don't own any art. Nothing more, nothing less.

Nagato shifted in the docks, a feeling of dread suddenly coming over her. The docks in America were quite like the ones in Japan, along with built in showers for those who'd want to wash off the chemicals from the dock's water. The Japanese battleship glanced over toward the exit that connected to a second building, cleverly hidden from the sailors of the base, but easy to find for any ship girl.

What is this feeling?

At the same time, the ocean near the shores of Maui were clouded above with grey clouds, the rain pouring down more than expected as men and women fled from the beach, worried for the abyssal sightings that were reported. Rain peddled down into the dark oceans as an explosion flew up out of the water, several surface abyssals keeping watch for the ones below.

Where the real fight was taking place.

"Captain! We've been hit!"

"God dammit all! Are you sure there isn't a fucking princess here?!"

"Captain! We've been hit again! I repeat, we've been hit again!"

Captain Deliora Maximus knew in time, he was going to die. Just like all those other seamen who died in glory protecting their nation. Except, he didn't expect for his demise to come in the form of young terrifying beasts of the sea. He grit his teeth, remembering that the US nor Japanese had a sub present on base. We've sent out that SOS, but we haven't received a freaking call back... He thought before going on radio again. "Admiral Keller! Can anyone hear me?!"

This time, they got a reply back.

"This is the USS Arizona, Captain! Please, hold on for now! We're almost there!" A young feminine voice yelled through the radio. Though before she could say anything else, one of Deliora's men yelled out urgently.

"Captain! Captain! It's a princess! There's a princess!"

The blonde captain scowled before going back to the radio. "Arizona! Turn back to the harbor, you'll just loose more lives!" He yelled, but knowing what his grandparents told him, he figured it wasn't going to happen. "There's a princess! Bowfin can't put a dent in her armor at all! So-"

"Captain!"

"-I'll have to say goodbye."

Arizona fell silent as the radio of the Bowfin exploded before she cut it off. Everyone else faced her, trying to understand what she had listened to. "Bowfin's lost."

Naomi cursed as Avelina took the reins. "Did the captain say anything else?" She asked, hoping they were just facing normal subs and surface abyssals. To her horror, Arizona nodded and spoke of something she never wanted to encounter so easily.

"He said something about the princess..."

The Japanese ship girls immediately panicked. "Those rumors about a princess was true?!" Zuikaku exclaimed. Fubuki looked way too pale at the mention of the princess while both torpedo cruisers grit their teeth. Lexington looked between everyone in slight confusion as to what they were talking about, so Kaga decided to explain.

"Princesses are the unique abyssals of the sea, and they're stronger than normal abyssals." She told the American carrier before Avelina took over. "Plus, they're never alone. One might call them the "bosses" of the sea."
