{ I'll be real this chapter is completely to set the story but the next one will be exciting I promise!}

I wasn't ready for a job. I'd just finished a whole course online, and I wanted to treat myself to some holidays. Act as if I were just another tourist in the area.
"Those gears turning in your head are blowing smoke out of your ears, chachi whats wrong?" My mother said smiling from the drivers seat.
I looked to her forcing a soft smile, "I was just thinking about things to save up for once we're financially stable and I have enough money for time off this new job. Maybe a holiday in Mexico.."
"Oh? Will you save up enough for me too come? Huh? You gonna help your poor old withering mother?" My Mom laughed and reached over to pinch my cheek. I grinned and rolled my eyes, she was always so positive about things, so warm and friendly.
"Stop thinking about responsibility on the way to work, it drains you quicker." She said lighting a cigarette for me and another for herself.
I'd accepted a job with my Mom at a resort here in Key West, Florida where we lived. For people who lived in such a post card destination we lived hand to mouth constantly. Hence my new employment, Momma needed help with the bills.
~
"Okay Chachi, Go to the kitchen and through the door, the chef, Craig will tell you where to go. Miss June will give you a run down on what you'll be doing and get you fitted with a uniform. Don't fuck it up, I'll meet you here when your finished. My break is on the other side of the golf course so we won't have lunch together until Thursday."
I processed my mother's worlds and nodded smiling at her.
"Okay.. I'll see you later." I said embarrassed by the way she fussed over me and pushed my hair behind my ears, licking her thumb to fix my lipstick that had smudged. I quickly kissed her cheek and walked off towards the kitchen.
The resort was amazing, A view of the crystal clear sea and cushion like green grass. All the cabins were more like houses and full of expensive chandeliers and decor. Every hedge was clipped to perfection, not a leaf out of place.
I walked quickly towards the main building, slipping in the back door to the kitchen, people rushed around like headless chickens, yelling orders. A middle aged man, of strong muscular build stood dropping slices of beef into a large pot. He must of been Craig.
"Hello, I'm Anita's daughter, are you Craig?" I asked taking the man by surprise.
"Ah! Dahlia! Yes your mother did say you would be here, Just through that door and Miss June will be waiting for you, be nice she's a tough old bitch." He laughed and patted my shoulder harshly.
I frowned and laughed softly, "Uh okay then, thanks."
I knocked first, then pushed the door open. Surprised to see a nice office area and a corridor to what seemed to be a locker room or big bathroom.
"Dahlia?" A female voice spoke.
"Uh yes ma'am." I said looking around.
"I'm in the locker room, dear." The voice said again.
I found an older woman in there searching through a basket of clothes.
"I'm Miss June. Not ma'am. And welcome to the team here at Key West lux Resort, I know your mother does Cleaning but I'm going to need you in room service tonight. We ended up getting a booking for a wealthy occupant in the bay suite. And I have no one else to cover, do you accept the challenge?" She shot her head up to look at me.
I was overcome. She was so stern and for some reason I wanted to impress her right away. I could serve some food to a rich white dude.
"Yes Miss June." I said softly nodding. She handed me a black three quarter sleeve dress. I looked down at it and back at her, it would only end just above my knees. My mother wore completely different.
"Your mother gave me your measurements, The black converse your wearing will be suitable, tie your hair up nicely and get changed in here. Meet me out at my desk once your done."
She walked past me and out the door. She really must be in a hurry for this expensive client.
I took a deep breath and walked over to look in the mirror.
I needed this money, mom and I need this money.
'You can do it Dahlia, Be strong, don't bitch it.'
I got changed, the dress fit like a glove. I pulled my wild curls into a French bun and pulled a few around my face.
When I walked out to Miss June she looked me up and down and nodded.
"Now, This position is practically a waitress position but instead you serve, take plates and clean up. Like a kitchen hand- butler position." She crosses her fingers together and leaned forward. "You'll be doing lunch and cocktails today. Serving food, taking plates, and then washing them up, you'll be accompanied by Sebastian. He's a trained bartender. He'll make the drinks for you to serve."
I nodded. "Yes Miss June."
She smirked, "Those are my three favourite words, Dahlia. Take a half an hour break after all cocktails have been served and everything's packed up. You'll serve their dinner as well and then report back here to me."
I again nodded.
"Sebastian is already waiting on a golf cart outside to take you to the Bay suite."
I was so out of my depth.
"Is that it?" I asked hesitantly.
"I know it's all a lot of information in a short time.. welcome to the hospitality business." She smirked and nodded towards the door.
I walked towards its before turning back, "What's the name of the client renting the Bay suit?" I should probably know before going.
"Jaseh Onfroy. And six other guests he's brought with him."
